Just having the realization that Dan most definitely has a thing for tragic sibling stories...

First it was Prey, with Naru and Taabe, whom the later ends up dying in order to save her. They might have had their moments where they didn't always get along, but Naru looked up to her brother a lot and she manages to avenge him in the end.

Then in Killer of Killers, there's Kenji and Kiyoshi, two brothers who drifted apart because of their father, almost killed each other in duel, and yet in the end, they manage to work together to defeat the Predator and reconcile, even if it came at the cost of Kiyoshi life.

And now in Badlands, we have Dek and Kwei, who we know the later will likely (definitely) not come out of this alive, all done in order to save his young 'runt' brother AND we know Thia and Tessa are seen as 'sisters' of sorts, even if they're synthetics. So now that I realize this , I do not have a good feeling about what might happen to them too....
