Here's the character blog for my GW2 Commander, if you want to know about him:
@devoted-to-tyria (no content to be added, this blog's sole purpose is to act as a character bio)
GW2 just released a patch that lets you re-skin your launcher to older themes, and it's so comforting to be able to change it back to the time I was having the most fun with my friends :)
i think another thing people don't really think about Braham is like, i think the fact he is like 18-19 dealing with his mom being violently murdered in front of him that i think almost any Norn would've crashed out at the Jormag news.
"Hey, Braham- you know how Jormag is the ancestral archenemy of your entire race that has inflicted a form of generational trauma onto every single living Norn by breaking your entire race's pride like Bane did to Batman's back? And how you're prophesized to destroy Jormag and we've killed two Elder Dragons? How we have the capability to do this? Well, we've actually decided we're not going to kill Jormag."
like it's not enough Braham is like 18-20 during LWS3 dealing with a traumatic death he also had to kinda process that. i think anyone would crash the fuck out even without their mom's death at that one. if the dialogue wasn't written to be neutral across all races i'm sure a Norn Commander even though accepting it probably would have a LOT of thoughts about it. that alone honestly justified his LWS3 crashout even without Eir's death but WITH it too? the death of his mother and also the Norn's collective trauma and essentially being told "there is absolutely nothing you can do about either. we will lull Jormag to sleep indefinitely and never allow the Norn to claim victory over their archenemy and you will never be able to prove you are worthy of fighting dragons like your mother was." raven's fucking beak.
that's very much a wip (might not even finish writing it) but i wanted to actually write part of the conversation fractal!audra (might call her lorryn?) has with osnje and rory upon arriving in their timeline
she talks about not returning to her own tyria
_
"You saw what it's like back there, Ossie! You saw the horrors, the deaths, the neverending storms tearing our sky apart! For years! It's been going on for years! Our Tyria is doomed!"
"So what? You're just giving up?"
A flash of anger in her eyes, Audra stood up.
"Do not do this to me," she said trembling. "I gave everything I had and everything I was for Tyria. I lost everything! And everyone I know has lost everything! There's nothing and no one left for me! We've been fighting for almost seven years, I don't know how much longer can Vlast hold on for, and yeah, maybe we can keep fighting, maybe we can even win! But the cost is way too high, and I'm tired of paying it. And I'm..."
She suddenly felt smaller.
"I'm not a hero. I'm just a scholar who likes birds." She saw Rory mouthing her words as she said them. She wanted to smile, but she kept her frown and turned to Osnje. "So yes. I am giving up. I'm giving up, I'm a coward, you can say it. But don't say it with that tone, as if I didn't try, as if I just stood there and let it all happen."
Osnje looked sheepish.
"I'm sorry," she said.
"I know."
"You know, there are still battles to be fought here, although not as hopeless," Rory said cautiously.
"And I hope you'll forgive me for not wanting to fight them."
"What if I need you?"
"Why would you? I'm dead!" The look on Rory's face gave her pause. "Listen. I know this is not easy to come to terms with, but I'm not her, and... you're not him. No matter how nice this is, we all know how fractals work."
"I think out of all of us, and despite all his experience, the one who will have the most trouble with this is Ossun."
"... Ossun is alive?"
"Yes."
"Stars above!" She clenched her fists. "That's... that's not fair. All this because of an egg that never hatched?"
Missed the preorders? Stuck in the US? Fret not, the beauty of digital files is that there's no postage (or printing) required, so the price is reduced accordingly.
Also sort-of in time for Fley's birthday! yay!
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
We rolled out a significant change to how notes work on reblogs, and the reaction has been strong. We're not going to pretend otherwise.
First things first: We're reversing the change. Your feedback in comments, emails, and especially reblogs, made clear that the rollout created problems we need to address before moving forward. We also should have communicated this differently from the start, and we didn't.
We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you.
In the coming days we'll share more on how we plan to do that, including ways to work directly with some of you on this and future changes before they ship.

Hey guys go send in your feedback on how terrible this is as soon as possible. We are witnessing the twitter-fication of this hellsite. No contributor wants “recognition” from a reblog. This is down right disgusting and I’m shocked this got through every single person that’s employed by tumblr
Y'all HAVE to fill in the feedback form. Please. If you enjoy seeing fanart, GIFs, writing, fanfics, anything that's creative on this site, you need to fill the form in and leave your outrage on there.
This is killing the notes sent to the ogs. The original creators aren't getting a TON of notifications and feedback and interactions because of these new "chains"
GW2 [VS] March 2026 Art Part - EU side! ^v^
Needed to let this piece marinate a bit these past couple of weeks, but returning to a mechanical pencil for the art party arts was felt so so good :)
