Happy Friday/Dreams.
More dreams for the blog!
I dreamed that I was at a presentation at an amusement park (think Sea World or Six Flags) with Florizel. A few of our friends were in it, so we wanted to attend. It was night time and the show began with some lit up trees with fireworks shooting from the tops.
As it progressed, I saw another light: a small, sparkling streak up in the sky. “Look, honey!” I said. “Do you see it?”
“Yes!” he replied.
“It’s a shooting star,” I observed. “Make a wish!”
A few moments later, the small meteor was falling to earth, coming straight towards us. I made a wish as it came down and landed a few feet away from where we sat. Florizel tried to pick it up, but it was still too hot.
Oddly enough, for it’s size (it was flat, and 1.5 inches long), it floated to the ground with no impact damage. We found this bizarre, but were thankful it didn’t hit anyone. It literally floated over our heads and landed in the dirt nearby.
We picked it up once it cooled and I put it in my pocket. Actually, Florizel tried to pick it up but it was too hot. Once it cooled, he handed it to me. The show ended as the dawn broke and we moved to ride a roller coaster.
It’s now broad daylight and we’re the only two people in the coaster car. The ride begins and we are launching to the first loop when it slows down. We barely make it through the first loop and slowly meander to the second one. (I should mention I was viewing this in first person, watching Florizel and I ride the ride).
As the car stopped, I approached the car and noticed something on the ground: a $1 bill. Nice! Since the car was still, I reached for the money and discovered a $5 near it. I left the car to pick it up and discovered a bunch of bills in 1′s, 5′s and a couple of 10′s, scattered on the ground. It made a tidy sum, at least $50. I stuffed it into my pocket and resolved to take to the lost and found later. I wanted to keep it, but knew I needed to try to find the owner first.
The ride started up again once I got back in the car, pulling us back to the start. More people had hopped on at this point and we all took off once the car was ready. We went through the ride, all the while I’m trying to keep the meteor and now the wad of money in my pocket. Luckily, I hang onto both things through the ride and exited with Florizel when the ride was through. Then I woke up.
Some strange dreams recently, but I like to try to interpret them. This may not have much to interpret, but I’ll give it a go.
The falling star I wished upon makes me think of my desire for children. The fact that Florizel and I both saw it means it’s a joint desire. He tried to pick it up, but it was too hot. We had to wait a while for it to be cool, but it wasn’t long.
So I think that a child may be coming soon, but we have to wait a little longer for one. We’re close.
For the other, the roller coaster and the money, this I interpret somewhat literally. Florizel hopes to advance in his career at the college he works at, and I’m looking to switch jobs. It’s not easy. I have to leave a good paying, not so great job in order to find something better.
My out of body experience is me analyzing the situation. I have it rough right now and I need to find something. With a little work, and a little luck, I can find what I need.
The money in varying amounts means that work, while not always the most profitable, will be steady. I’m a bit confused about the part where I wanted to give it away. Somehow, I knew the money should be mine, but I wanted to make sure. It was a struggle to maintain both the money and the meteor in my pocket, but I was able to do it with no problems.
The roller coaster is the journey with my jobs. I’m leaving one and struggling to find another. They will come.
The meteor is a baby. When we were on the coaster, the meteor wasn’t in my pocket, but I “knew” it was there. I see this as my conception and growth of the baby. The ride went well once everything was in place, and we even had people joining us. They are friends, family, those who want to be part of the experience.
Dad helped me interpret parts of this, but he saw it the same way I did. Pregnancy and a job. Gives me a lot to think about.
Back to the grind. The men are about, and there are too damn many of them for my taste. Sick of it. Might close my door...but then they’ll just barge in anyway, so what’s the use.
Too many days left...262 at most.
