Rudd Hawthorne / Kendall Hawthorne (wrestler4hire.com, Can-Am.com)

I haven't been this excited about a new fighter in a while and it's clearly because Rudd/Kendall Hawthorne was plucked from my teenage fantasies.  The man is precisely the type of guy that made me feel confusing, funny feelings all those years ago.

There's just something about a long lean, hairy fighter that does it for me.  The fact that Rudd/Kendall is also a twunk badass is just icing on the cake.  Want to see the man heel? There's a video for that.  Want to see him job? There's a video for that.  

You see at the end of the day it isn't so much about beautiful men posing on camera (although we there is a lot of that).  No, gay wrestling has it all - the arrogant look of victory, the humiliating defeat, and kudos to the fighters like Rudd/Kendall who can pull off everything in between.

On Monday, I received this email from Can-Am.com, one of the oldest producers of Underground wrestling videos, announcing the 10/31 closure of their video download site (DownloadMegaMall.com) and DVD mail-order site (RopeMall.com). So we have just a few days to order or download anything on our Can-Am wish lists!

This is sad news for sure! I hate to see any WrestlePorn source go away, especially one that I've been enjoying for decades! In fact, the second gallery I ever posted on my original Wrestling Arsenal website, dated September 3rd, 2000, included these beautiful Sleeper Hold images found in early Can-Am productions.

Can-Am's early success is remarkable because VCRs only became popular in homes during the mid-1980s (when the courts ruled that people could legally record TV shows.) And here Boss Sexton was already producing high-quality wrestleporn VHS tapes just a few years later! I can verify that their very first video, Canadian Musclehunk Wrestling #1, was produced in early 1992:

I am thankful that enough of you wrestle-pervs had the courage to purchase these mail-order VHS tapes (What will the mailman think?!) to keep Can-Am afloat in those early years!

However, I'm not completely shocked by this closure. Obviously, DIY sites like WatchFighters and OnlyFans are a huge competitive threat to traditional wrestle-porn producers. Also, Can-Am's online presence had gotten a bit sloppy and confusing. Their original website (Can-Am.com) started giving security warnings, so they created a hodge-podge of links, with downloads at one URL, and ordering of DVDs (Are DVDs still a thing?) at another.

And they offer a third site for pay-per-minute streaming called Can-Am.tv which I assume will also disappear on Saturday? I just logged in and found that I still have 38 minutes and 35 seconds in my streaming wallet! So let me go now to use up my remaining minutes! I will let you know what I've ordered!!

That Wresting Moment: One wrestler steals the spotlight - Aryx Quinn & Brenden Cage v Jake Lyons & Landon Mycles (Can-am.com)

Sometimes a tag team match is really just a ploy to get your hands on one of those sexy jobbers.  It's happens when one member of the tag team is so magnetic, so irresistible, that he completely steals the show.  Enter Landon Mycles ...

Aryx Quinn & Brenden Cage v Jake Lyons & Landon Mycles (Can-am.com)

The Backstory

From the very beginning our foursome is really a threesome with Landon at the center of it.  Both Aryx and Brenden say they're here for a tag team match but really they're both after Landon and a crack at his amazing body.  Like a good wingman, poor Jake is pretty much left off of most scenes as all those hungry eyes lock on to our blond, sexy spotlight, Landon. 

The Action

Now don't let that pretty Landon "The Heartbreaker" Mycles fool you.  Those muscles are not just for show and the guy can do some real damage, even up against two bigger beefy pro studs like Aryx and Brenden.  They both want him but Landon is not going to make it easy and he really messes these two up with those powerful arms and massive thighs.  

That is until our two heels double team the poor guy and no man, no matter how powerful can beat those odds.  I mean check out this brutality: 

The Moment 

So let's be real, we came here for our stud Landon and the guy really does shine in this match.  Making this match even sexier is the fact that one-on-one our heels are no match for him and they had to stack the odds in order to win.  Boy do they enjoy their winnings here ... 

Brenden just can't help himself when he's around all that golden muscle.

It's Aryx however who gets the better of him and thoroughly enjoys the sweaty, glistening perfection that is Landon Mycles.  

In fact, he gets so lost in his opponent's He-man body that he forgets himself and suffers the consequences.  I mean, I can't blame the guy - Aryx flew too close to the sun and got burned by that sexy jobber that stole the spotlight. 

Aryx, humiliated and put out but still completely satisfied.  I'm sure he's thinking ... "totally worth it".

Everything Great About a Match: Ace Collins v Jamie Stroud (Can-am.com)

Everything Great About this Match: +3

So let's begin: 

+1: For a size difference match and more importantly, good back and forth without this being a squash job.  

Jamie Stroud: "I may be smaller than you, but I'm powerful as hell and I can keep up."

+1: The alpha energy from Ace Collins.  The guy is massive compared to his opponent and uses his big dog status to dominate the majority of the match.  Jamie is absolutely helpless against Ace's massive limbs. 

+1: For the worship scene.  Come on, weren't we all waiting for this scene?  Jamie, overwhelmed by Ace's alpha status, simply can't control himself and submits.  

Ace even gets in on the action later by getting handsy with Jamie.  

BONUS: Still craving more Ace Collins?  Here are some of the finer points from his match against Jordan Reyes from Hollywood Erotic Pro Wrestling 1.

Ace is off to the races again, easily dominating the much smaller Jordan, at one point demanding that he beg and grovel his submission.  Jordan springs back however and somehow beats the mighty Ace.

So there you have it. Is this fantasy wrestling?  Is this promission?  Whatever it is, this is typical Can-am and is why we keep re-watching these bouts.  The camera work and production values are top notch, the wrestling talent, 'is what it is' for porn stars turned wrestlers.  Ace Collins looks amazing against his opponents and Jamie Stroud can 'keep up' with him as promised.

Over a decade ago, there was a sudden wave of releases from Can-am studios unleashing an army of adult film stars onto the wrestling mats.  Jamie Stroud was of those recruited to fight for gay wrestling glory.

I later saw this performer as Chip Tanner on various porn studios, bringing together that buff but lithe figure of his with those moans and groans.  In fact, while I think his wrestling is well on par with Can-am's talent, I do enjoy his jobber roles and while he may not have sold me on the wrestling, he does decent work as a promission/fantasy wrestling stud.

Now I won't go into the Jamie/Chip's real life, you can google that if you please, but the guy is complicated.  Adult film stars are complicated people with complicated lives.  There that's all I'll add to this story but enjoy these images from his body of work.
