ATTENTION CANADIAN STUDENTS!!!
This is your friendly reminder that voting is still an option for you.
You have until September 14th at 6:00pm (tomorrow) to register to vote by mail!!!
This year Elections Canada failed you by removing on campus voting, making it that much more difficult for students to cast their ballots.
Their "we didn't have enough time to set up voting booths" excuse is an obvious lie, since their job requires them to be prepared for an election at all times, and this is one we've seen coming for months now. Let's call it what it is: voter suppression; because surveyes show that younger voters tend to lean towards the NDP.
DON'T LET THIS STOP YOU FROM VOTING!!!
Your voices deserve to be heard, regardless of which party you support.
This is my third federal election as an eligible voter. I have zero ties to any party, and have never voted the same way twice (I chose based on values, plus who I consider the least corrupt at the time).
I don't care who you vote for, whether I agree with you or not, just make sure you get your vote is counted!

We're on vacation and ended up drinking local beer/cider while watching the Canadian leadership debate. I actually enjoyed it.
Pros: the single questions, mini debates and Fu debate structure. Different topics. Moderator was decent. LOVED all the candidates shutting rebel media down.
Cons: not enough time to get into things, still people interrupting, the poor 18 year old kid who blanked on national television. Lack of foreign policy stuff.
Bloc: very blunt, great start, he must be killer in the French debates, why is bloc at a national debate when they only represent Quebec? Also, got worse and definitely had that reaction to being called out in racism and discrimination in his province. Had some great one liners.
Green: actually really liked the leader, too bad the party is imploding. She didn't answer certain things and used a lot of anecdotes. She was very well spoken, calm and handled the debate decently imo.
Trudeau: honestly thought he was the worst speaker and did the poorest out of all the candidates. His post debate questions were much better. Appreciated him helping out with translations. Made me roll my eyes but was also sometimes unfairly blamed for things. Have zero pity because HE CALLED THIS STUPID ELECTION.
Singh: struggled a bit with answering questions directly. I think intentions and direction are good but struggles to communicate the how. Best rebel media rejection with no.
O'Toole: probably had the best debate. A lot of his issues weren't really brought up (although he point blank deflected the required vaccine question). Feel like he's progressively moved left throughout this election yet the rest of his party isn't there. Got easiest interview questions.
Some good jabs. It did not help me decide who to vote for.
