I feel like I'm about to pass out from all this Canada wildfire smoke. The sky in NY is fucking orange and very apocalyptic with all the sky lights on in the middle of the day.
My body wants to do a big breath but I can't and my nose HURTS.
Canada fires make beautiful sunsets.
A Quick PSA
Hey just a quick shout out to everyone living in the Pacific Northwest right now if it’s smokey in your town STAY INSIDE, don’t do physical activities outside, and drink lots of water. The air quality index is in “very unhealthy” and “dangerous” for a lot of cities in the PNW. Please be careful and stay safe.
Also I know everyone’s been real good about help and relief and fundraisers for the hurricanes but don’t forget so much of the PNW is on fire right now and they could use some help and relief too.
My sister's air quality reached 550+, and mine reached 250+ today
5 5 0!! And it's still business as usual.
Everyone and their momma is going to have side effects of this toxic air.
Please, I just wanna breathe... PLEASE.
I’m an east coaster and if anyone doubts the usefulness of masks right now let me share that me and my mom were outside in the smog for three hours on Wednesday (it wasn’t as thick as ny, but there was visible haze). I was wearing a k95 the whole time, but my mom was not. A day later feeling I’m perfectly fine, but mom says it’s uncomfortable to breathe and her throat feels irritated.
I know there’s uncertainty out there abt mask use right now, but please consider using one of you are outside for any considerable amount of time.
in news not about the movie rip everyone in northeast US rn
i fr stepped out of the movie theater and couldn't breathe
the sun was orange two days ago and i was like lol that's cool
yesterday there was a fire down the road that you could smell the smoke of a good bit away from and i was like huh thats weird
today i find out at school that there are fires in canada that are causing air pollution here. thats why the sun is orange. thats why i smell smoke. and i get out of school and the smell is worse. and on the bus i joke with other people how it looks like those bad movies or shows set in the desert that they just put a yellow filter over. and i keep thinking about how it looks foggy.
i go to the movie cus yeah and i see people with masks due to the air. and im like yeah i wish i brought one thats smart.
i get out of the movie theater and its so much more yellow. i step outside and am just coughing. the sun is red now. my friend said its like the apocalypse and theyre right.
the sun two days ago vs now plus just how yellow it is
there's no like intended point to any of this im just amazed. like i was joking about this stuff before but im kinda scared now.
i loled then i serioused.
My air quality is hovering in the 150s, my sister just texted me where she is literally 1 hr away the air quality is 250+.
It down poured yesterday and made it worse.
Help, I wanna breathe.
