Back from an incredible week in Jasper, Banff and Yoho National Parks. Climbed a mountain in a hail storm to the top of the world, saw moose and elk and a 1200-foot waterfall, went canoeing on aquamarine lakes and hiked to more glaciers than I’ve ever seen in one sitting. Pictures don’t do justice to the scale and beauty of this truly spectacular place. For just $190.00 A beautiful, very well centered and very fine used example of the 10c deep reddish purple "Quebec in 1700" stamp from the 1908 Quebec Tercentenary Issue. Printed on vertical wove paper showing fine vertical mesh. Light, face free CDS cancel, which leaves the design completely clear - a rare occurrence on a stamp that is almost always found heavily cancelled. 2016 Unitrade values a VF-75 used example at $200. As stated in Unitrade, stamps grading above VF-75 are scarce and worth a significant premium. This is the finest 10c Quebec Tercentenary I have ever handled, period. The stamp offered here grades 83 as follows: Centering/margins: 44/60 Paper freshness: 5/5 Colour: 5/5 Impression: 4/5 (very mild ink stripping in places) Absence of visible paper flaws: 5/5 Perforations: 10/10 Cancellation: 10/10
