#finishfridaystrong Repost from @canadaskateboard • Breaking news!!! Our 3x National Champion @nnieguglia is headed to Tokyo as the “official first alternate” for Women’s Street! When Annie heard the news less than 48hrs ago she dropped everything, took all the necessary steps (including two Covid-19 tests) and is now en route to the land of the rising sun to cheer on and potentially represent our country. We’re so incredibly proud and happy for you Annie. Your positive attitude throughout this qualification period has been the embodiment of the Olympic spirit and an inspiration to us all. Canada is behind you, you deserve this and we’re cheering for you 💯 🇨🇦 ❤️. For those keeping score, we now have Canadians in first alternative positions in both Men’s and Women’s Street events. (@ryandecenzo and Annie) as well as @mattberger_ @micky_papa and @authenticandyanderson who are already qualified. What a wild ride already and practice has barely begun! We’re not crying, you are 😭(ok maybe we are crying a little bit 😎❤️). Let’s go 🇨🇦🛹 #keeppushing #olympics #canadaskateboard #tokyo2020 (at Montreal, Quebec) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRqtMN_lccm/?utm_medium=tumblr
