When I was in the Canadian Forces waiting in between my battle school courses I was assigned to a sniper course tasking. It was a blast as I ran up and down the 1000m+ range one day with a metal fence post driver (thumper) in hand moving targets for the snipers on the course in an open field that day. At the end of my sniper tasking I was unexpectedly congratulated with all my hard work by being able to shoot the 50 cal sniper rifle with a bunch of rounds.
