Does anybody know if there's a campaign to bring back BBC's Merlin?
because voilà.
The Hour: An Allegory
In which the BBC tries to be a villain, but the fandom is triumphant. Or, that which is both literal fanfiction and a metaphorical commentary.
Once upon a time there was a journalist. A hero, really. And he loved a girl, and after a great deal of screwing up, she realized she loved him too, and he finally kissed her.
Then he ran off to be a hero. He saved the show and told the world the truth, but he suffered for it. And the powers that be wanted to let him die. They said, "We cannot afford this. We cannot afford someone who pushes the edges and rocks the boat. Let him die."
But the journalist was stronger than that, and his friends were stronger than that. So they took him into their homes and kept him safe until he got stronger, and then they sent him back into the world.
And he loved his girl, and she loved him back, and together they told the world the truth.
