A new analysis from the Environmental Protection Agency paints a grim picture for wildlife in the United States. The country's second-most commonly used pesticide, atrazine, is likely harming most species of mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles, especially in the Midwest where its use is highest.
Sadly the findings aren't all that shocking — we've known about this for decades. The European Union banned atrazine a dozen years ago for exactly this reason.
Around 70 million pounds of atrazine are used every year in the United States on crops, lawns, schools, playgrounds and athletic fields. And it's not just harming wildlife — atrazine exposure has been linked to birth defects and cancer in humans.
The Trump administration has placed a former Koch Industries official in charge of research that will shape how the government regulates a class of toxic chemicals contaminating millions of Americans’ drinking water

What’s the best way to prevent companies from the pesky profit sucking costs of following regulations and lawsuits? Stop it from the inside — at the source.
Safe drinking water ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Cancer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Drink up America!
The Trump administration has placed a former Koch Industries official in charge of research that will shape how the government regulates a class of toxic chemicals contaminating millions of Americans’ drinking water — an issue that could have major financial repercussions for his former employer.
David Dunlap, a deputy in EPA’s Office of Research and Development, is playing a key role as the agency decides how to protect people from the pollution left behind at hundreds of military bases and factories across the country.
Previously undisclosed documents obtained by POLITICO show Dunlap began working on the issue almost immediately upon arriving at EPA in October. He had spent the previous eight years as Koch Industries' lead expert on water and chemical regulations, a position that typically includes helping companies to limit regulatory restrictions and liability for cleanups.
“Known as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, the chemicals have been linked with kidney and testicular cancer, as well as other ailments.”
Both Republicans and Democrats have urged a stronger approach from acting EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler

Stanford scientists warn that cooking with gas may expose families to benzene, a known trigger for leukemia and blood cancers.
Recent studies from Stanford University highlight a hidden danger in millions of kitchens: the release of benzene from gas stoves and ovens. Unlike pollutants typically associated with charred food, benzene is produced by the combustion of natural gas or propane itself. As a known human carcinogen, benzene is strongly linked to the development of leukemia and other blood-related cancers. The research demonstrates that these toxic levels can build up quickly during use, turning a routine chore into a significant environmental health risk within the home.
The impact of these findings extends far beyond the stovetop, as the invisible pollutant often spreads from the kitchen into bedrooms and living areas. In homes with poor ventilation, benzene concentrations can remain elevated for hours, creating a persistent exposure hazard for all residents. These results have sparked a nationwide conversation regarding public health and the long-term safety of gas-powered appliances, prompting many experts to recommend improved ventilation or a transition to electric alternatives to safeguard indoor air quality.

⚠️🥗FOOD WARNING: SYNTHETIC MATERIALS IN DORITOS CHIPS
Wow this article by Lynda was just written and the LORD was talking to us about WEAVES. I learned they use a flame retardant on the threads used for wefts (nylon thread). Our scalps are very sensitive and absorb products faster than many other places on the body.
This also explains the dark circles under the women’s eyes in the dream.
Thank you Lynda. I pray this brings more awareness to the issue.
I love you Black Women! You are beautiful like a box of chocolate 🍫🤩😘😍
The hair industry is a BILLION dollar industry. We deserve better. Our money is just as GR€€N🤑 as anyone else’s. We have spending power, too.
PS. I got fired from my first job because of my HAIR. It was “too much” for the manager. I should have sued them for racial discrimination but at 16 what did I know ☹️ People put us down for our hair and don’t know the societal pressures we face for trying to just be US. I remember watching Chris Rocks “documentary” on our hair hoping to God someone was going to stand up for us and shed light on this issue, a BLACK MAN at that, but instead I felt it was a MOCKERY of Black women and since then I have not been a fan. There was a time when wearing dreads had you labelled as a weed smoker and you were ostracized from society. More on this later…. Maybe.
