Mystery/Thriller Monday
I know, I know, I apologize, this is the third in the Kate Clifford series. It takes place in 1400 and in York, England. Kate is a widow who has adopted three kids. One of her friends, Berend, disappears, for a reason she doesn’t quite understand, and that friend is then accused of murder. Oh, and then there are the jewels. Can she prove his innocence, does she even believe that he’s innocent?
This is a really cool historical mystery. Very Brother Cadfael-like. And, the characters were all really well done also (including the doggos), and, when it came to the humans, aside from Kate herself, I especially liked Bess. And, now I get to go back to book one and two and give those a read too.
