I forget when I got this cactus- my mom went to Punta Cana and she wrapped a lil piece of a cactus in a cloth and brought it home and we planted it. The photo on the left is from 2020, the photo on the right is 2026. Look how big it’s grown!

I just moved my cacti and succulents outside for the summer and this one got big white patches like this, does anyone know what’s going on?

Current care: It’s planted in terra cotta with 50/50 perlite and miracle gro cactus soil and gets watered when the soil is completely dry. It’s on a west-facing balcony, and it’s been sunny and 90+ degrees F all week.

My gorgeous grafted euphorbia láctea is liking its spot in the garage. We are moving in one month!

These are two plants grafted together. They like we’ll drain soil and bright indirect light.

Jasminocereus thouarsii / Candelabra cactus Santa Cruz, Galapagos

The only member of it’s genus, J. thouarsii is endemic to six islands of the Galapagos. Unlike other candelabra shaped cacti, this species seems to grow with very clearly segmented growth. For more info, click here.

Candelabra Cactus is a gorgeous Houseplant. It is not a cactus, but an euphorbia lactea. It’s basically two succulents grafted together.
