I forget when I got this cactus- my mom went to Punta Cana and she wrapped a lil piece of a cactus in a cloth and brought it home and we planted it. The photo on the left is from 2020, the photo on the right is 2026. Look how big it’s grown!
Candelabra cactus (Euphorbia lactea)
I am so sad I never finished this because Dragon Bones was an absolutely peak story and it's used on a dungeon DLC. Like it was so insightful for Dragon Priest lore and the heart break Zaan goes through still gets to me. I'm chewing on Spellbreaker. I REMEMBER THAT THURVOKUN FORGETS HER BY THE 1ST ERA ANS I GET SO SAD.
All the characters in dragon bones where brilliant for a DUNGEON DLC. Jorvuld is the MVP, Orryn is such a little shit. Lizabets scream still haunts me. I still quote Mortiu when I clean going nasty nasty make it cleean. IT IS SO DOOMED AND TRAGIC UGH I LOVE YOU DRAGON BONES
first time trying to draw a full blown environment in a few months haha
And without text:
An idea that @falling-skyzz had where Darkstalker visits Arctic’s bones. Had to draw it as it’s a grand idea. (I have no idea how to do bones let alone dragon ones so hope this looks good xwx)
also hi yes hello! I was the anon that sent that ask haha
*cough* I ugh think that @sleepyjuniper also wanted to be tagged so- ugh hello haha
GENERAL — 24/262 — Dragon bones
Knowledge of paleontology and the early periods of life on our planet was not exactly the forte of medieval education, much less of illiterate commoners. According to the Bible, the world was created in seven days which simply left no room for the epochs of prehistory. Therefore, even the occasional rare finds of fossil remains of prehistoric life were attributed more to mythical creatures: dragons, basilisks, griffins and wyverns. Several references to the discovery of dragon bones survive from the Middle Ages. Sometimes they were the remains of real dinosaurs, sometimes they were imported bones of exotic animals unfamiliar to people in this region. Crocodiles were particularly popular at the time because of their appearance, and one of them even entered the iconography as the dragon that St. George was said to have fought.
TRIVIA
— If you ever stumble across a dragon bone, it might be more profitable to use it for yourself than hand it over to a church, where it would likely just hang around for a few centuries, such as at the Wawel Cathedral in Krakow. There was quite a big market for dragon pieces of all sorts, especially for medicinal purposes. Dragon blood (most often just resin from the dragon blood tree) was said to harden both your skin and your sword, a talisman from a dragon's tooth could help you when talking to people of power, and a dragon skull buried under your threshold would bring good luck over your house and might prevent you from becoming squint-eyed.
The Franciscan friar Roger Bacon, a 13th century professor at the universities of Oxford and Paris, dedicated a whole chapter of his medical book against the symptoms of ageing to the benefits of dragon flesh. First you had to acquire it, of course, and that is best to be done as the Ethiopians do, by riding and flying the dragon until its flesh is properly softened. Then you should boil it for a long time, without having it be touched by sunlight, as that spoils the quality. If you don't like the taste, you can always spice it up with cloves, nutmeg or citron-rind, and of course with the number one anti-ageing remedy, wine. Since according to Bacon, there are many activities that cause rapid ageing, even you might be in need of some dragon flesh soon. Or you simply refrain from these said activities. So no sitting too close to an open fire, no frequent washing or getting drunk when not directly needed, no immoderate blood-letting, and of course, a little bit less sex.

look I understand the urge to get all "Ward has two hands!" but I need you to understand this wouldn't work. polyamory will not fix them. there is no situation in which Tisala wants Oreg anywhere near her bed or in which Oreg is prepared to share.
