Candeo “how-to”: How to appreciate performance in Candeo?

Appreciate/Skip are two most important features of Candeo. Candeo behaves like a persistent talent show where one can submit a performance every week and in returns gets judged by the world. Every week performances are queued and shown as showcases which can be only accessed via voting (Home Screen). It means you can only access next performance if you have voted the current performance already.

You can touch anywhere of the showcased performance screen to see the actual content. To vote, you have to either tap appreciate (The Clap sign button) or skip (The thumbs down button). Or you can tap the middle circle button to access Creator profile

To appreciate, just press the “clap” button

This will show a popup menu with rating list and option to write custom text.

The positive ratings are as:  Good, wow, superb, excellent and mesmerizing. You can add extra text if you want. Appreciating add up to appreciate count of performance which can be viewed from performance’s bottom part of screen. Appreciations showup in discovery section of your profile under “My appreciations”. And also appreciating for the first time a performer adds that performer to your “Promote star” list and you get added to his/her “fan” list. Appreciation counts are considered for ranking at the end of every week.

Candeo “how-to”: How to skip a performance?

It means you can only access next performance if you have voted the current performance already.

To skip, just press the “thumbs down” button

This will show a popup menu with rating list and option to write custom text.

The negative ratings are as:  didn’t like -if you didn’t like,  repeated- if you found repeated content and didnt like, offensive- if you found the content offensive, plagiarized- If you found the content copyright infringing, stolen, copied or having IPR issues. You can add extra text if you want. Skipping add up to skip count of performance which can be accessed from performance’s bottom part of screen.

Candeo “how-to”: How to post a video performance (Candeo Shortz)?

Candeo shortz are 30 seconds claim to fame videos. You can sing, dance, act and perform anything in 30 seconds, record and upload.

Performing is an integral part to Candeo. Candeo behaves like a talent show where one can submit a performance every week and accordingly gets voted (via appreciations or skips) and earn ranks. The performances can be submitted in the form of audio, writing, image or video. Here we are looking at video.

Open the app

Click the blue “magic wand” button on home screen

You will be take to performance post screen. The screen comprises of category selector, title and description.

In the category selector, select the category with big “movie” button. You can swipe through to checkout other categories. Video is the fourth category.

Title is mandatory with upto 50 characters. Optionally, but recommended, add a description upto 500 characters.

Once video performance has been created, it will show up in user profile’s created section.

Note: You can only submit once in a week. And each performance neither can be edited nor can be deleted.

Candeo “how-to”: How to post image performances?

You will be take to performance post screen. The screen comprises of category selector, title and description.

In the category selector, select the category with big “camera” button. You can swipe through to checkout other categories. Image is the second category.

Tapping the category will reveal 3 options “Click a picture, choose file or cancel”

Choose file lets you choose from disk. Click a picture lets you click and upload. 

Title is mandatory with upto 50 characters. Optionally, but recommended, add a description upto 500 characters.

Once image performance has been created, it will show up in user profile’s created section.

Note: You can only submit once in a week. And each performance neither can be edited nor can be deleted.

Candeo “how-to”: How to post audio performance?

Performing is an integral part to Candeo. Candeo behaves like a talent show where one can submit a performance every week and accordingly gets voted (via appreciations or skips) and earn ranks. The performances can be submitted in the form of audio, writing, image or video. Here we are looking at audio

Open the app

Click the blue “magic wand” button on home screen

You will be take to performance post screen. The screen comprises of category selector, title and description.

In the category selector, select the category with big “music note” button. You can swipe through to checkout other categories. Audio is the first category.

Tapping the category will reveal 3 options “Record audio, choose file or cancel”

Choose file lets you choose from disk. Record audio lets you record and upload. One can record upto 6:00 min audio and upload. Try to upload audio recorded with better mic/better software (Sony audio recorder for e.g) for better results.

Title is mandatory with upto 50 characters. Optionally, but recommended, add a description upto 500 characters.

Once audio performance has been created, it will show up in user profile’s created section.

Open a performance from “Performances screen”, “home screen/stage”, “user profile” with the “movie” icon

Please wait while video loads (You will see black screen). Once loaded, you can play/pause touching the screen
