Send me "Some Other You" and I'll introduce you to an AU version of my character!
You feel a tug from your clothes all of a sudden. You thought that maybe, it was just a twig catching onto something. But it comes to your surprise that it was from a hand lightly gripping onto the fabric.
The hand … belonged to a little girl.
Having a good look of her, you might conclude that she was a very pretty girl, no doubt about it. She had blonde locks of hair, although rather unkempt, reached all the way down to her ankles and curled all around about like a morning rays of a rising sun. Azure optics looked upon you, and you think that you could compare them to glass marbles that you would admire looking through. Her clothes had an elegant look that gave her the impression that she might have actually been a porcelain doll that was given the ability to walk around on her own two feet and become a human.
The only thing that was putting you off was the gravely serious look on her face.
However … you weren’t really sure what she wanted from you. Did you do something wrong? She looked like she was kind of glaring at you but you’re not really sure since her face is barely moving an inch at all. Did you offend her in some way? Or did she need something from you? You weren’t a mind reader; but you wouldn’t be able to get any answers unless she actually spoke.
Finally though, she opened her mouth, and you were able to hear the words that formed from her voice. “…Do you know anything about the Nightmare Syndrome?”
…? That’s the first time you’ve ever head about it. You have no idea on what that’s supposed to be. You don’t hold back on answering this to the child. You even ask her what it was. Maybe you’d know what she’s talking about if you were to get an explanation out of her.
Her reaction was … less than satisfactory. “.. I see." She scoffed, her eyelids lowered in disdain as her head shifted slightly to the side. The corner of her mouth slightly curled downwards scornfully. She shakes her head, it looks like she doesn’t really want to answer your question about the matter.
She gave off the impression of a haughty little princess looking down on you, but in actuality, she was simply just frustrated that she had yet to find any leads. Alice was just a little girl — she was not allowed to get her hands onto any medical documents nor conduct her own research upon the illness. The kind of investigating she was doing, was more likely to fail to bring any results, but it was the only thing she could do right now.
To simply put it; she was just more upset about not having any leads yet, with no means of her own to do anything of importance as she is now.
But really, you don’t quite understand what’s going on in her head. You just know that she doesn’t seem all that happy. You ask if she wants to play with you. Perhaps she’ll cheer up after a game or two, or have a little chat with you next to that tree giving off a rather lovely shade underneath.
Her expressions changes to a more relaxed look from her previous one, but even more calm than the first one. “..No." She shook her head. The child was a rather no-nonsense type of character. It isn’t to be mistaken that she did not like to play fun and games like any other child, but rather, she had a work ethic that she did not allow herself to ruin until she feels like she has done enough for the mean time.
Play time had to wait, perhaps another time, but there’s still more than she feels like she has to do. Without saying so much as a ‘goodbye’ she promptly turns her back and walks off. Her hair sways from side to side as she moves about.
But again, you’re not exactly a mind reader, so she most likely comes off as rather rude or very odd. Probably both.
