It hasn't been the best of timing of late for Angel Haze. After unveiling'CANDLXS' over a week ago, an ode to new love and happiness, Haze announced her break up with girlfriend Ireland Baldwin just a day later, and with cruel blow has now released the acidic 'Gxmes.'

Leaving nothing to chance, old-school Nintendo sounds rattle against heavy, rumbling dub pounds, chugging against stuttering synths as Haze fires back with 'say you'll quit your games for me' in a biting vocal delivery. And hell hath no fury than a rapper scorned when it comes to her brutal verse in the middle, wasting no time in tearing those who've betrayed her in her wake.

Channelling that attitude into something powerful, Haze explains via her Tumblr:

'i thought it would be cool to turn a situation that hurt me into something i could dance to. troy and i took a bunch of old nintendo video game samples and tucked them behind a trap/pop beat..listen closely :P '

'Gxmes' will be featured on Haze's upcoming In The Winter of Wet Years EP.
