this is inspired by binging buzzfeed unsolved, & also all the comments on the videos that are like “shane is a demon protecting ryan.”

Tim is a hardcore believer, who desperately wants to find proof of the paranormal. Jason IS the paranormal, but plays hardcore skeptic. (While secretly batting the actual ghosts/demons/whatever away with a metaphorical broom.)

Tim is REALLY good at sniffing out actually haunted places. Jason was v much hoping Tim’s quest would take them to places people THOUGHT were haunted, but weren’t. But no. Tim is good at what he does, damn him.

Tim is also a supernatural magnet. Places with only mild activity become way more active when he’s around. Jason is going to go completely white if this keeps up.

Jason may or may not have died in this AU, I haven’t decided yet. (I lean towards yes.) Before, he was a medium—much like Bruce. After, well. Now that he’s touched the other side, he’s more connected than ever.

Tim starts to have suspicions about Jason by site #3 or so. He knows he saw Jason’s eyes glow, once. & it’s so weird how he never sees anything, or how activity seems to stop when he comes in. & he wanders off alone WAY too much. To say he’s not happy when he finally confronts Jason is an understatement.

& that’s what i’ve got! i have some vague thoughts on the batfam’s different psychic abilities / connections, but i haven’t figured out all of them yet.

Is the reason Hunter can't use magic... because he is a grimwalker made from a human? A human who didn't have a magic bile sac and thus couldn't use magic? (follow up question, would a grimwalker made from a witch be able to use magic?)

I don’t think canon is clear about that! My current understanding is that grimwalkers are just a different species than humans or witches so they wouldn’t have a bile sac either way. The grimwalker book says that they have selkidomus lungs and a galderstone heart and that they’re partially made from palistrom wood. So obviously not the usual anatomy for either witches or humans haha. But it could be that those are just the ingredients needed to create the grimwalker body and once it’s assembled it undergoes a magical process that makes it anatomically identical to the ortet. In that case hunter would have human anatomy with no bile sac—but belos did give him witch ears to disguise that. if all the previous grimwalkers were also magicless, though, that makes Darius’s comment about hunter’s predecessor being “one of the strongest witches he’s ever known” pretty interesting. Because either that golden guard successfully hid his lack of magic with his artificial staff and Darius just didn’t know, or Darius did know and was using “strongest witch” more generally to show his respect for his mentor and was not referring to magical ability at all. But hunter’s lack of magic seems to be known to all the coven heads so who knows!

anyway, I am super curious myself and maybe there’s more info out there that I haven’t heard so if anyone knows more feel free to add one. Hopefully we will get more grimwalker lore in the future! We’ll see 👀

(re: the lost harp of mervana) so apparently huey's truth is that he seeks knowledge, dewey's truth is that he seeks parental approval, scrooge's truth is that he refuses give up his stuff to live in a cave with mer-hippies, and donald's truth is that he really really needs a fucking vacation

fuck yeah he needs a vacation.. BUT if i can take that thing you said and make it a little sappier:

somebody mentioned (i can’t remember who, im so sorry) that the patterns on donald’s tail was pastel green, blue, and red, with some egg-like shapes thrown in.. while i dont rlly think it was super intentional, i am still gonna interpret this as a reference to his time/dedication to raising the triplets. also, consider that this is donald’s first adventure with his family after the quackpack incident-- i.e. accepting that going on adventures and overall doing the undoable and discovering the undiscovered is his family’s version of normal ! it’s what makes them happy and fulfills their lives-- and obviously that’s super important to donald, even as he worries about their safety, even if he maybe doesnt love adventuring so much himself, as much as he wants his family safe and together he also wants them to enjoy life to the fullest, especially the kids

donald was a lot more relaxed and happy on this adventure, bonding with huey and dewey and even to an extent, scrooge, knowing that della was safe back in the sub... and i think that’s what his truth is. just. being there with the people he loves most, as they do what makes them happiest, and overcoming the obstacles with them

i do yes! i’m basing them on the write-ups provided on this site, ‘cause it’s my favorite :D

Chiro -- ENFJ

So, 16personalities has this one labeled as “the Protagonist.” Which, just as a label is already awfully fitting, isn’t it? However, I feel like the little summary they provide makes it even more so:

These warm, forthright types love helping others, and they tend to have strong ideas and values. They back their perspective with the creative energy to achieve their goals. 

I’m not really sure the whole profile fits him to a ‘T’ but there was definitely a lot of similarities there (especially, I felt, in the strengths section!), so I’m going with it!

Antauri -- INFJ

Listed as “the Advocate.” What really made me lean towards this for Antauri was the strengths & weaknesses section? Like, all of them felt really true for how I interpret him & write him!

The summary on his is pretty nice too:

They tend to approach life with deep thoughtfulness and imagination. Their inner vision, personal values, and a quiet, principled version of humanism guide them in all things.

Nova -- ESTP

Nova took me the longest to decide, but I ended up going with “the Entrepreneur.”

They tend to be energetic and action-oriented, deftly navigating whatever is in front of them. They love uncovering life’s opportunities, whether socializing with others or in more personal pursuits.

She’s a very driven monkey, so a very driven personality type is only fitting!

Sprx -- ISFP

Originally had him as Nova’s type, actually, but as I was hunting around for Nova’s I realized that “the Adventurer” felt more true to Sprx than the rest.

They tend to have open minds, approaching life, new experiences, and people with grounded warmth. Their ability to stay in the moment helps them uncover exciting potentials. 

For all that he loves the sky, I feel like there is a part of Sprx that is just very grounded and present. Which is what helped him bond with Chiro preseason / in the first season!

Gibson -- ISTJ

The summary for “the Logistician” (ISTJ) felt very Gibson:

These people tend to be reserved yet willful, with a rational outlook on life. They compose their actions carefully and carry them out with methodical purpose. 

The strengths and weaknesses also seemed to parallel a lot of his struggles in the show, so that pretty much sealed the deal for me!

Otto -- ESFP

“the Entertainer” already struck me as Otto. Not because he was such a lovely source of levity in the show but because it seems to me like he enjoys making people laugh / happy?

This summary is also great:

These people love vibrant experiences, engaging in life eagerly and taking pleasure in discovering the unknown. They can be very social, often encouraging others into shared activities.

& the strengths and weaknesses, like most of the others, are also Very applicable to Otto, I felt!

Obviously people are welcome to chime in and agree or disagree as they want! (Especially with Chiro’s, which I am really not as confident in as the others!) But that’s my take :)
