Father's Day.
That was today, wasn't it?
G'doi, it had to be, with all of the commotion that had been going on within Game Central Station and the sudden influx of children bringing their fathers to the arcade for the day. But as the after hour Roster Race concluded, and the young president pulled up at to her royal abode, the child was biting her lip in anxiety. This kinda stress can't be healthy!
Father's Day. It was a holiday that hadn't been neglected by the child for...well, as long as she could recall. Her father had been taken from her before this time year had rolled around their plug-in year and without a memory of him for fifteen years...the topic of a paternal figure wasn't given much thought. But now?
Pushing open the ornate door to her room, licorice boots scuffing against the edible carpet as she made way towards the small strawberry-wafer desk across the room. Four pudgy fingers reach to grasp one custom made card, it having been made in the wee hours of the night not twenty-four hours ago. Despite not having seen her father, her Loli'Pops in such a long time, the petite girl had decided last minute that she wouldn't miss out on a day of celebrating having him back into her life. No matter how distant they may have become.
" 'Hope he likes candy pearls," she muttered with the pivot of her heel. Marching towards his chambers with a bob of her raven ponytail, Vanellope's large hazel hues could be found glues towards her gift; a crown shaped card with ivory and salmon icing--yummy pearls peppering the cover. It was only until entering his office that she peered up. Tiptoeing towards his desk, she placed the gift upon it.
"Happy Father's Day, 'Pops..." she muttered with a smile.
