This was the biggest rain storm he was caught up in so far. The rain was far heavier than he would have liked, and the thunder crashed around him as he made a mad dash for the nearest shelter. The redhead was completely soaked through, his clothes and skin drenched - he knew he should have bought an umbrella with him, but no, he had to think he was smart enough not to need one.
Hurrying as quick as could into the nearest shop, he let out a groan as he tried to shake the most of the water from his hair, totally sending hundreds of droplets in every direction. He rubbed his hands up and down his arms in a meagre attempt to collect warmth as he turned around to see where he had actually run into - not expecting to see someone else standing opposite him.
“ Uhh. Nice weather we’re having, eh? “
The shop had been pretty silent today, and Maggie honestly couldn’t complain. On these days she could go ahead and read, take her time putting back out of place books, and just enjoy her job for once. When the bell above the door rang, she turned and set both her book and reading glasses down, smiling as she approached the front of the shop.
“I guess so,” she said with a laugh. “It’s a little too stormy for my tastes, but I’ll take what I can get.” It was then she noticed just how soaked her potential customer was, and she gasped. “Do you want me to grab you a towel? I imagine it’s uncomfortable to be this wet in the air conditioning...”
