Engelskt namn: Canens Kön: Kvinna
Canens var en nymf och personifieringen av sång. Hon var Janus och Venilias dotter. Hon var gift med Picus och med honom hade dem sonen Faunus.
När Picus avvisade Kirke, förvandlade hon honom till en hackspett. Canens letade galet i skogen efter sin man men efter sex dagar la hon sig vid Tiber floden, sjöng en sista sång och dog.
