Plaisance farmer's market on All Saints' Day

Jackfruit. Breadfruit, rose apple, mango and curry leaves around it.

"Hey, vegetarians eat this instead of meat in Europe, you know?"

And we laugh. The almost toothless gentleman gifted the best canistel to my breadfruit.

Tastes like pumpkin and peach and honey at the same time. It feels like all the cells in your body catch a breath after a long dive. Incredible.

The cemetery's neighborhood is crowded. Lots of flower sellers in the streets. Everything is plastic. Real flowers wouldn't last for an hour when cut in this heat.

Picked up some Canistel fruit from @neoero. The fruit has a colour of orange to yellow thin skin, and the flesh is dry like a boiled egg yolk. They are usually eaten fresh, used for cooking, pies, and they have an excellent taste in ice cream.
