I wanna say that for decades scientists have been trying to replicate powers seen by super-humans but in an authentic or separated state (so like with materials, not experimenting on people) n since Gamma Jacks stats claim he’s very intelligent, i thought “hm why not make him a scientist doing that exactly” so boom yah!

Unfortunately in some science experiment he was working on with a team, it came close to being successful but was really unstable. They found this out the hard way, boom massive explosion oh no radiation and scientists dying and oh no poor jack getting absolutely pegged into concrete ouch! that can’t be good for your brain!

turns out radiation poisoning is also not good for you. radiation manipulation is pretty neat though.

anyway he sort of just has a big personality switch and is a freak. The radiation is decaying his body rapidly, he notices this. Running with the prior knowledge that he is an intelligent man, he doesn’t really recognise that eating human meat wont give him more meat. Uh oh.

and now, his body is eating itself alive, because; cannibalism.

he is BOUND to die eventually like there is NO saving him but he’s basically a slasher on a spree now, desperately trying to get as much meat into his system that he can. so, uh. yeah a crazed cannibal with the ability to manipulate radiation is SORT of a big deal for the nsa.
