upon first glance, eli roth's green inferno sits with me hella wrong. a bunch of white (presumably) americans fly to the rain forest TO SAVE IT (because a handful of americans can save the rainforest by going to the rain forest?) and their plane crashes, and then the survivors are put in cages to be eaten by indigenous cannibals. does this skeeve anyone else out, or?

Humans might be terrible but I love them, I love the little flesh bags. Soft blood fruits.  I love all the rather incredible things they’ve accomplished during my life time and their vast variety of languages all filled with holes and complications and their need to worship something... even if they claim to believe in nothing and have no deities to pray to they will find something to idolize, even another human. It’s interesting. They taste good too and are fun to hunt, the things they offer in exchange for their small lives always surprise me. How did each one come to be as they are? What did they absorb as children, full of questions and a will to learn? What answers did they get? 

It’s a wonder that they are so prosperous... but then again it isn’t.

I will miss them when they are gone.
