Halloween, Novo Amor
when taylor swift said “i was so ahead of the curve, the curve became a sphere” and when samia said “we’re in a tin box and i’ve got a toothpick, and i have been poking the air” and when novo amor said “for the record, i made my hell; it went on and on, i let it bloom” and when mitski said “i always thought the choice was mine, and i was right, but i just chose wrong” and when dodie said “i used to smile at every star and thank the sky; now i look up to all the duds and wonder why i feel like all of them are gone” and when phoebe bridgers said “i don’t know what i want until i fuck it up”

‘Cannot Be, Whatsoever’ Novo Amor (2020)
A dose, a moment to live in And I'm hoping it stays a while in the space you were in And I froze, and I reckon I missed it When all of the rain came down in the shape of everything
Keep Me, Novo Amor
I LOVEEEE when songs from artists I love come out near a really specific and well defined event and then I listen to the song on loop throughout the event and then I can NEVER listen to it again without thinking of it. my oldest friend got married the day after cannot be, whatsoever was released and I looped first place while I worked on bridesmaid shit that entire goddamn weekend and so the first notes of that song, and some of the background instrumentals later on, elicit such a strong, indescribable feeling. and I would not have it any other way
A side project for practice: some album covers from music that I adore. I think they look best tiny, because then it's easy to see the resemblance to the actual albums themselves. Tags identify the artist and album, going left to right, top to bottom.
But, the large appeal of pixel art is seeing the pixels and the stylized art, so here's a larger version:
My favorite parts: the blocky style of the top right, the leaf pile in middle right, the sky gradients of top left and bottom right, and all of the middle one.
