DIY Lens Repair Done!
So for almost a year my Canon EF-S 17 -85mm f/4-5.6 USM lens had the classic error 01 issues and altogether stopped focusing below 70mm and the aperture was stuck. The cost to have this repaired by Canon would have been a few hundred but luckily, I found some help online and fixed it myself in 2 hours and only paid the price of the new aperture diaphragm ($24.00) http://doekle.nl/canon_17_85_IS_repair.html http://www.pbase.com/barry_2718/efs1785mm I am ready to take the Bay area by storm with some wide shots again.
