New ask game idea: kin languages. I can't be the only one who spoke a bunch of languages in my last life, after all. And I can't be the only one frustrated when I can't speak them all now.

Kin language question:

In the world of Pokémon languages are pretty much the same as here.

Kanto, Johto, Hoenn and Sinnoh all spoke what is known here as Japanese but there was slight differences in the language depending on the region. Hoennian was probably the least similar sounding and hardest to learn while Kantoian, Johtoian and Sinnoh shared a lot of similar words (especially Johto and Sinnoh since the regions shared a border) but the northern part of Sinnoh had a completely different dialect. Kalos spoke Kalosian (French) and Galar spoke Galarian (English). Then there was Unova and Alola who both spoke Unovan Galarian (American English) with some groups in Alola spoke their native language.

kin languages? heres my answer: i am currently trying to weave the new hymmnos for a reworking of a METHOD extract in a fic i an writing. suddenly i am violently possessed by infel brain rifling through pastalie verbs like a madman looking for something in a chest full of junk, knocking everything off the wall shelves, running a giant metal pipe along the wrought iron fence of unknown vocabulary and making a terrible racket of a sound. literally i am just trying to weave some song magic over here but i cant decide where to put the YN and the A in a.u.k. WHY do i have to keep re-analyzing which emotion vowels go where? why is the grammar of new testament of pastalie so concise yet so confusing? *I* made that!!!! and i KNOW why i made it like that but god damn.

kin languages! French is a big one for me (my mother in this life speaks a decent amount of French so that's been helpful), Gaelic, Japanese, and a few fictional languages as well ( the Na'vi language from Blue People Avatar movie the Middle Earth Elven language, and the Ancient Language from The Inheritance Cycle are the ones I can think of)

kind of the opposite of the new kin languages ask game, but i, the host, am casually learning japanese. so one day when our sammy lawrence was fronting, he was shocked and surprised that he could read some japanese despite only knowing english in his source lol
