Hey everyone who wants a video of me doing a sad gay poem at the cantab earlier this month?? I won this slam and I feel like this is the better performance of the three poems I did considering I'm pretty rusty.

Meet our new friends from CT, The Excitement Gang. Fans of Common Rider will dig these guys. They're playing with us June 13 at Cantab Lounge in Cambridge.
I had a meaningful experience and felt I should post about it here since it is location-centric :)
So I went to a poetry thing at the Cantab Lounge in Cambridge with my friend (some of you may remember Cookie Angel) and saw some poetry which was really cool (and hers was one of my favorites not just saying that cause I love her, the faves were hers and one about being a nerd). They do open mic time, then a featured act, then a slam thing. We didn't stay for the slam bc she has a real person job and needs sleep (unlike I, the student with no early classes), but I'm really glad we saw the featured poet. It was Jeremy Radin (who is apparently also an actor). He had several poems that hit me pretty hard and cut deep into various aspects of my life, and if I had money I probably would have bought his book. I might see if I can hit him up via fb. But you should check him out!!
