I asked before about getting Welling to have a crush on MC but still get to slut around, how do we do that? Do we choose options that make it clear MC is romantically interested, but ultimately choose to go to the festival as friends because they are not ready for dates?

Hello! You need to get enough romance flags with Welling that they ask to make the Canterberry festival a date. Then, say no. They only ask because they know with certainty that the MC returns their interest in some way. So when the MC declines, they see it as the MC just not being ready yet!

I mentioned the differences between date-Welling and a Welling that didn’t ask MC on a date, but I forgot about Welling that asked MC on a date and was declined. That Welling is closest to what you’re looking for! They have an interest in MC, but since they kept their relationship within the friendship bounds, Welling isn’t held back by their yearning.

My face went through a rollercoaster reading this. Going from "Rejecting Welling and missing out on the carnival present? ;A;" to "Ooh, I can actually do this and get what I wanted?! :D"

Joking aside, I feel kinda silly not thinking of rejecting the date offer because 1) it kinda felt mean?? 2) I wanted MC to have one good night before their departure. But now... I have a good reason to decline the date. >:)

You can still get the gift! It’ll just be treated as a friendly one. Also, don’t feel bad about the rejection! Welling only asks if you have a high amount of romance flags with them, so they know the MC has some sort of feelings and assumes the rejection is due to the MC not being ready or because of everything else going on with them. They don’t take it to heart at all! It’s why they project their interest so much at orientation. They want the MC to know that they’re still there. Also x2, Welling is always cheeky and pent up lol just to different degrees depending on the version. That never changes!

So many ages ago, I sent an ask about ditching Welling for A, and I am sad to report that I have once again done a full 180 and gone back to Welling because the concept of them being so wet cat in love with and balls to the walls horny for MC for so many years is SO appealing 😔

Although I lowkey wish Welling would sleep around in that route too because I like it when ROs seek MC out in other warm bodies and end up upset because nothing compares to them lol

Yes! If you decline the date in the prologue, Welling will admit to Dion that they had a crush on MC and sort’ve hint that they still do. If you didn’t have many if any romance flags with Welling in the prologue, then the romance will be more subtle. In that situation, Welling only considers MC to be a friend/acquaintance and so MC will need to be more forward if they have an interest. There is an initial option when you first greet them at orientation. It’ll either be before or after you speak with Trivelyn depending on who you went to the festival with. You haven’t locked yourself out!
