🔪 ━━ Luke is a prolific piano player having learned at church when he was young. the church was one of the few places his brothers & himself could go when his mother was on a binge, and it became their haven until high school. whenever his mother kicked Luke out of the house he’d bundle up his brothers & walk the mile or so to let them play in the yard while the kind old woman who played organ for weekend service let him play around on the keys. it is one of his few happy memories.
