Our existence started out so innocent. Just a bunch of lost and lonely souls searching the vastness we were dumped in for some meaning, some purpose, something more than the dirt beneath our feet. We looked into the sky and saw stars and we wanted to touch them so bad we built rockets. We looked out over the ocean and saw the horizon and we wanted so bad to reach it we built ships. We've grown so much that we've become like the wild weeds that we so desperately tried to tame. But then we met others that were spread under the very same sky that we looked to and saw the differences, we saw the strangeness. And it was then that we built weapons. We'd fought so hard for our existence that we'd be damned if we gave it up to anyone else. We would not relent in our growth and our ways. It was others who must yield. And now it's not longer the stars that we look to in wonder and amazement. It is our neighbors we look to in fear and suspicion. We are no longer the lost souls who wish to touch the stars. We are now the selfish conqueres who'd rather watch the world burn than share it.

So...I have been a bit sentimental, maybe a bit Pollyanna...really hoping us humans come out better, nicer, more caring after this pandemic. A lot of are people coming together during this crisis - going above and beyond to help each other out. It is truly inspiring. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I found this photo I took in 2013 and it seemed fitting but on a different note. The politics...holy moly. It’s a pissing match! I’m not surprised really, but...I don’t know what to say except...I wish it would stop.
