We have new babies!! This hen that we named “girlfriend” actually didn’t belong to us at first. She came into our yard as a young chick and simply never left. Now she is on her second batch of babies and the original owners, seeing how well we’ve cared for them, decided to just leave her with us. So glad to have a safe and welcoming haven for all the critters in Our community. Ever since deciding it to plant “standard garden beds,” the chickens stopped being a pain. I forage wild greens and plant edible trees where we no longer have to be concerned about you g sprouts.
