i’m gonna babble mostly abt my dnd character caoilfhinn! i already talked some abt her she’s half elven and a fighter who’s probably gonna end up being a gunslinger when she reaches 3rd level. Her whole backstory is basically that she was raised by her mother, a super kind and caring woman who raised her daughter to be the same, and then one day when caoilfhinn was 11 her father came back and demanded that cay(caoilfhinn’s nickname) come with him. her mother helped caoilfhinn flee into the woods where the fairies took care of her, helping to protect her. then months later when caoilfhinn returned she found her home burned down and through word of mouth figured out that her father had taken her mother to the capital where he worked as a higher up military commander. she then made her way there, confronting him and helping get her mother home on the condition that cay would stay there and join him and become part of the military. after years of awful training and being put on display as the commanders perfect daughter and realizing that the military and government were extremely corrupt she formed a revolt with the rest of the crew on the ship she and her father currently had command of and took over the ship, she literally threw her father off board and started a career as a pirate captain and earned the nickname the Fairy Fighter. I actually rlly like how i developed her as someone who was raised by this kind woman and was raised like that, and then as time went on she just got angrier and angrier at the man who hurt her and her mother, at the military for being so corrupt, and at the world at large sometimes. So because of that she did what she saw fit, she operates by her own personal moral code and sometimes she’s thought about bending it, and i think that those moments where she sees herself going against the morals she’d developed is what really terrifies her, and ultimately the reason why she went to land. when she went to go visit her mother in the woods it was very touching and lovely, but her mother is also very perceptive and told her daughter that she was scared that caoilfhinn was beginning to turn into her father, and that thought that she could be anything like him terrifies her. and on a lighter note and random note, she can 100% play the fiddle and loves to go to taverns add pubs and sing and dance and get up on the tavern tables and perform. Finally, here is her spotify playlist!!! the first song is literally what inspired her entire character and then the rest just rlly fit either her or are just pirate-y songs

Weapon of choice: Anything he can get his hands on. The bigger the better.

Notable relationships details: in love with Eulalie, would and does kill for her. Often at odds with Caoilfhinn, but usually friendly with Leod.

Eulalie

Gender: female

Domain: Death

Key colors: white and floral

Fashion/style: European folk fashion, cottagecore elements

Weapon of choice: patience, or her own hands if necessary

Notable relationships details: in love with Wren. Close friends with Caoilfhinn and Leod. Often pulls Leod into antics because she knows he likes to be involved.

Caoilfhinn

Gender: female

Domain: Famine

Key colors: purple, gold, and black

Fashion/style: dark mori, bohemian elements

Weapon of choice: Persuasion and psychology

Notable relationships details: hates Wren, somewhat resents him for his closeness with Eulalie. Closed off in general, and keeps Leod at an arm’s length, but considers him and Eulalie as friends.

Leod

Gender: male

Domain: Pestilence

Key colors: green and black

Fashion/style: cybergoth/emo

Weapon of choice: poisons and, of course, diseases. Grows bacteria in his basement lab.

Notable relationships details: secretly in love with Caoilfhinn, but has no intentions of pursuing her as he knows she isn’t interested. Cares for both Eulalie and Wren, but doesn’t always show it as he can be erratic and temperamental.

more info abt caoilfhinn: she was forced into the military bc her dad came to the cottage where she and her mother lived and tried to force caoilfhinn to come with him, so her mother helped her flee into the forest where the fey took care of her for a time. Then she left and found her home burned to the ground, so based off word from the townfolk she set off to the capital where her father had taken her mother since he was a powerful general. From there she and her dad made a deal where he’d release caoilfhinn’s mother if caoilfhinn finally joined him. She said yes and sent her mother to live in the woods with the fairies that’d taken care of her. She was forced into an extremely corrupt and imperialistic military after brutal training from her father, then like 2 months later she started a mutiny with the crew on her ship and threw her father off board and took over the ship as the captain of the now pirates. She did that very successfully for 6 years, and then some shit happened and she’s taking a break
