I was so excited to hear we were going old gods in #chillingadventuresofsabrina and sinister ladies and birds are A Thing in Irish myth... but also birds signify doubt, fear, love, joy and homecoming. The birds meant Sabrina, Nick and the Fright Club had to wrestle with all of that and not transform beyond recognition... but Sabrina and Ambrose always know their way home. I said a just-in-case goodbye over @sabrinaspellman in May, but at the eve of a new year with such a tough year behind us and #caospart4 ahead, I wanted to say another. ‘Endings are the saddest part’ because when you love something you’re sorry to see it go. Sabrina came to me at a tough time in my life and it meant a lot to me. Writing the books, I felt my job was to try to love and understand all the characters as deeply as I could. So goodbye, Sabrina and Zelda and Hilda and Ambrose, Prudence and Nick, Harvey and Roz and Theo, Lilith and always Salem. I loved you all very much.
