While sorting through the stuff to be kept/binned/donated to charity shops I uncovered a box with Lesley's granddad's stuff from his time as a Military Police in Italy during WW2, including pics, ID cards, dogtags, and his report book which contains notes on such charges as one soldier "urinating in public on the guardhouse door" and a Private Capaldi brought up on drinking/smoking on duty... And now I really want to know if *that* Capaldi is Peter Capaldi's granddad...
