Infiltration wins SFV at Manila Cup
Razer Infiltration has staked his claim as being one of the best players in the world yet again. This is not something he really needed to do after his run in the SF4 iteration of the Street Fighter series but some may have forgot how good this guy really was thanks to SFV’s drastic changes.
Well, he did it! The Korean Native took a Major with Juri(also Korean) that is seen as the lowest of the lowest where the tier ranking is concerned. Going up against arguably the best Rashid in the world in Japan’s Gachikun, Infiltration managed to 3-0 the man who put him into loser’s bracket and then steam roll him again for another 3-0 in an impressive Grand Final’s showing.
(Don’t need a Feng Shui engine to see those Bandwagon jumpers coming!)
This is a testament to a man’s skill and persistence, as Infiltration ran the gauntlet to beat two other notable Rashid’s on his way to a rematch with Gachikun. Both Moke from Japan and Zowie Oil King from Taiwan fell to Infiltration’s loser’s run, possibly helping the Juri main further learn the matchup because he seemed unstoppable upon beating a clearly phased Gachikun at the end of the reset in their Grand Finals runback!
People say Punk is the Alpha! Daigo is a beast! Tokido is the Murdaface! And they are all amazing players but only Infiltration can say he won a major with the worst character in the game. This win should give him quite a boost in his Capcom Pro Tour overall standing, as he no doubt wants to take Juri there as well later on this year. Infiltration is back and Juri never looked better!
