Literary Magazine Looking for Submissions!!!!

Hi everyone! As part of my creative writing course at uni, a group of us are making a literary magazine called Capital Vice. It’s themed around the seven deadly sins and will be published online, as well as (hopefully) a limited number of physical copies. 

Edge Hill University is a great place to get your writing published (they have their own book prize, for one thing, and publish books each year) and the opportunity is open to you now, for free! 

Just save a copy of THIS submission form, fill it out, and send it to us @ [email protected].

Hello there! First of all, I apologize for the sudden hiatus! All of my free time (or lack thereof) has been spent on school, which started last Monday for me. Last Wednesday I went to Makati for Punchdrunk Panda's Blogger Hangout. It's my second time to attend a hangout organized by PDP (read about my first experience here) and I had fun (as expected!) I will be making a detailed post about that soon, but for now, here is what I wore!

Dressing comfortably is the key when going to hangouts, but just because one is in a simple outfit does not mean one has to look plain! All it takes is the right attitude, accessories and of course, a smile! :)

All things nice from Capital Vice

Last August 30, I dropped by Trinoma to fetch these lovely orange shoes courtesy of Capital Vice. Thank you for these, Capital Vice! :) Watch out for the collaboration I'm doing with them on my future posts!

By the way, this is Ate Marifel. She is really nice and I like talking to her. I think she now recognizes me every time I go to their shop because I've been there at least three times already! haha! I think every salesperson should be like her. :)

Orange you glad to see me?

Okay I know my title is really corny, so please forgive me! haha! Now let's forget about that (hahaha) and move on to my post. :P

Most people do not know (and will probably be surprised to discover) that I used to play a lot of basketball when I was a kid. I think the reason for this was because I grew up mostly around men (my little brother, cousins, playmates, my Father, Tito, Ninongs and so on) and that there was (and there still is) a basketball court in our backyard. Basketball used to be my most "active" past time (if I'm not biking, playing badminton or swimming) until I discovered the wonders of the personal computer. I'm not good but I'm not bad either. The only thing I'm sure of is that my height is a huge factor when it comes to my getting scores! haha! So anyway, I just remembered the basketball thing because I was recently given a pair of orange shoes (yup you've read right!) by Capital Vice! This would be a first in my shoe collection (which mostly comprises of black, grays and browns) Nevertheless, I think orange is a really fun color, and I cannot wait to come up with outfits that will go well with these babies!

Sunday Funday

The family and I went out today for some bonding time (Sunday is family day!) We encountered traffic along NLEX and later discovered it was because of an overturned frozen chicken truck!

Poor chickens :(

We went to Home Depot first along Balintawak to buy some things for the house. I love going to household items/furniture stores because I like looking at all the pretty things they had to offer. I went around looking and touching the beds and tiles and curtains and all those things. The Kuya's and Ate's on duty were giving me weird looks but I didn't care! haha! After that we were back on the road on our way to Greenhills. Along GMA Papa received a call that he was needed somewhere by 5pm. So plans got canceled and we were on our way back home. We stopped at a gas station along NLEX to get some food for merienda and pasalubong for my brother and Lola first though :)

Anyway, this was what I wore today. Animal print kung animal print! I think Papa was really apologetic because I got into the effort of dressing up for this. I'm not angry though (haha why would I. Sobrang babaw naman) Maybe this is a sign that I should start studying for my exams tomorrow! haha! :P
