The DSM-5 states the only requirement for DID is different headmates inside somebody head. Trauma is not a requirement for diagnoses. So although most DID system will be traumagenic, that does not mean all of them are. -🐍

This is a genuine question: Have you ever considered the mental distress and existential burden a 'pre-made' headmate would endure upon knowing their entire reason for existing is to be sold off to someone? Using headmates as fiscal assets implies that they lack a level of personhood, which can be off-putting to some.

I have thought about it a lot, but honestly I/we don't have an answer to it because its a really complicated moral topic.. everyone feel free to talk about this in the comments because I have no idea what to think -🎰
