They Need To Get Rid Of #BlackFriday 😤 #CapitalisticGreed.. Is this what the holidays are about? #Shameful..
capitalisticgreed replied to your post: occupy wall street is about corporate greed. Hence why it’s on wall street. There are people there for various reasons but that’s the core concept
When the masses turn from young revolutionaries to average workers like the masses of union support there will be forced change. Even though most of it isn’t on the mainstream media the movement is still growing.
Let's say that does happen. I don't doubt it, but I also don't doubt that it won't happen.
There are union protests and strikes.
Okay, if there are no specific demands, what do those in power change? They'll be looking out there windows going "what a bunch of loons, they don't even know what they want."
It will still be ineffective unless people start coming up with specific demands.
I'm sure there are some people, somewhere out there in the largely idiotic masses of OCWS, that are smart enough to do it. I'm sure of it.
What they need to do is start spreading the message. That protest is ineffective and pointless without specificity.
I think your wrong about the symposium. What I got and my professor at PSU got from it was that the considered the 'highest good' to have a male apprentice philosopher who was his mate. Knowledge was the goal of society and the philosophers at that time. So they were all gay.
I wasn't really addressing the symposium. Just what the last guy had said.
The idea of feminism itself is flawed. To balance things you can't let the group who has been held down to now have more power. I understand that things should be balanced and we shouldn't even have to talk about equality but thats all because of capitalism. Now there's your problem.
Is this just because I liked one of your posts? Ok. Well for me feminism is about equality. It's about finding my voice after repeatedly being viewed as less than human because I am a woman. It's about fighting back against rape culture. It's about all people, not just women - I was already a LGBT ally, but in the process of becoming a feminist, I am also becoming an anti-racist and trying to educate myself on issues for trans* people, the disabled, and immigrants. I would like to think that an anti-capitalist like you could see how our current system holds everyone down, and holds some of us more than others. I don't believe in capitalism either, but at this point, the work I do is within those confines, operating inside the system. But I believe it is equally, perhaps more, important to be anti-capitalist such as yourself. I think you and I are on the same page, you just don't like how I express myself.
