Online Tea Shops Worth a Look
In recent years the in person shopping experience has been on a steady downfall for all types of retail, and tea is no exception. A few years back Teavana closed it doors (R.I.P.), and recently due to the pandemic DavidsTea shut down the mass majority of their stores as well. Other shops such as Citizen Tea took a shot at opening physical locations, but sadly it didn’t work out too well.
So where else can you go for high quality tea?
Well believe it or not when I first got into tea, DavidsTea was just a baby and Teavana was too pricey. So I took to searching the web for online stores. Soon I discovered Tealux (now known as Tealyra). The site has a massive variety of teas of all types and flavors from all over the world, as well as a great selection of tea wares. It was here that I really ventured into the world of tea, ordering 10, 20, 30 samples at a time. They carry everything from traditional teas, to high end pure teas, to tasty blends. And if you sign up for their mailing list they often send out 25% off coupons.
If your new to tea or you want to expand your horizons a bit this is the place to go. I promise you will not be disappointed. However with all that said, it isn’t the only great online shop to visit for amazing teas. Below is a short list of online retailers I frequent, and I’ve even put in a recommendation or two for each site.
