I'm assuming in both AUs that Coryo and Lucy Gray are still around by the time of the 74th hunger games and all of that. So how does all that play out in each AU? In the district AU do they have any connection to Katniss at all? In the capitol one does Coryo still have a weird grudge against Katniss or does Lucy Gray talk him into being more sympathetic toward her? What happens to the families of both AUs when the revolution comes?

Capitol AU

Lucy Gray indeed watched Katniss's games with her grandkids after she and Peeta captured the attention of the First Lady during the interviews, particularly impressed by Peeta's bold declaration of love. Despite her reluctance to admit it, Lucy Gray, like many in the Capitol, found herself captivated by their performance. However, she stopped watching after Rue's death and Katniss's emotional rendition of "Deep in the Meadow," which hit too close to home.

Lucy Gray was surprised to learn that Katniss and Peeta emerged as victors, knowing her husband's inner fury over the outcome. She had to work to calm him down, fearing a repeat of what happened 24 years prior with Mr. Abernathy. Though Lucy Gray managed to exert some influence over Coriolanus and his malicious tendencies, it wasn't substantial. She appeared as a graceful, weary figure, exuding the scent of roses, when she met Katniss in person during the end of the victor tour, engaging in a genuine conversation unlike many others in the Capitol. Neither of them knew about their familial connection, a fact that would remain unknown for quite some time.

In the rebellion, Lucy Gray plays a minor role that ultimately safeguards her and her children from facing execution at the end. However, tension arises when Katniss negotiated grant immunity to all victors comes in the way with Coins plan to include Coriolanus's grandchildren in her symbolic Hunger Games, an idea that Lucy Gray finds outrageous.

Lucy Gray decides not to witness her husband's execution. Instead, she stays with Rosalyn and her family, fearing the temptation to do something reckless or foolish. Coriolanus meets his end as he did in the original story, facing the wrath of an angry mob who beat him to death.

District AU

District AU during the 74 hg its not really well thought out and through yet. Coriolanus, portrayed as an emotionless commander of District 12, appears to the public as someone who casually sends people to the Hanging Tree every Tuesday, almost as if it's routine. The identity of the president in this AU is still uncertain (suggestions are welcome), but the Games remain unchanged and continue to operate without necessarily requiring a figure like Coriolanus Snow to oversee them.

Lucy Gray would know Katniss and her family as now being actually involved with the covey in this AU, She might have even cradled Katniss as a baby, echoing her interactions with her father. When Maude Ivory gives birth to her son, Lucy Gray bursts through the door, urgently making her way past Colton with a casual “MOVE BITCH!” to attend to the newest Covey member. Despite Coriolanus holding a secure and influential position in the district, both he and Lucy Gray chose not to reside in the wealthier part of District 12. They prioritize the safety of the kids and Lucy Gray her connection to the Covey, especially Lucy Gray, who dislikes being viewed with disdain. While it's unclear if they later live together, it's imaginable that Lucy Gray steps in to help raise Primrose and Katniss, with Coriolanus maintaining a distant or dismissive presence at best.

Side note: despite Coriolanus's influential position, he is unable to prevent Primrose from being reaped due to unforeseen circumstances or obstacles. Consequently, the Hunger Games proceed as planned with Katniss who volunteers for prim and Peeta as tributes. Haymitch and Lucy Gray would be their mentors.

He did tho went through Katniss names quite some time for getting tesserae for her family, being told each time not to do that. Each year being “this is the last time Everdeen-“, until next year “12, 13, 14…15?!”.

What happens during the revolution I’m not sure but I’m sure not the bombing of 12 that sounds like a 100% snow move (and if none of my babies is going to the heavens above-)

It's been noted that the Snow family's legacy is dwindling due to Xanthos never marrying and Rosalyn taking on the surname Dovecote. Janus, faced with having two daughters – Valeria, the elder, and Cassia, the younger (who happens to be the most fervent Everlark enthusiast in all of Panem) – is striving desperately for a son. Cassia on the other hand has made it clear to her father that if there won't be a little brother to carry on the family name, pledging to uphold it herself. Janus simply smiled at her enthusiasm, affectionately ruffling her hair.

Livia and Hilarius were an arranged marriage, both of them have no problem with the other seeking other company as long as it is in private

Clelia is older then Plutarch by 3 years

Janus and her are university sweethearts, shes a year younger than him.

Coriolanus argued with Festus for hours about Rosalyn NOT taking on the surname Dovecote, we can see how that ended.

Aurelius Dovecote is the youngest grandchild at 10 with Cassia being 12 and Valeria being 17

Aurelius is also the only grandchild that has a traditional covey color second name ✨Merigold✨

I’m curious about the President and First Lady Snow AU, how did it happen? Where in the canon did things diverge? When they get married? How is Tigris? How about the other Academy kids? Is Highbottom alive? Is Dr Gaul alive? What’s the PR around Lucy Gray? Was it difficult for her to live life in the Capitol? What does Snow do to make it better for her?

I didn’t wanted to make it like that she was forced to stay in the capitol after the games, yet I did had another version that I now threw out of the window. I was thinking about letting the wood scene in and then diverge, everything up until where they find the weapons is canon with only one little change. Coriolanus gives a better more believable good (manipulative) answer than “my old self”. After the weapons are disposed in the lake he convinces her to come with him to district 2, being able to buy a ticket or lucy grays way out of 12 with Sejanus leftover money (which he doesn’t mention) thats the short version of how both of them end up in the capitol.

After graduating university they both tie the knot (idk how long it takes to graduate university in north America aka future panem so I’ll go with 4 years), the moment he slithered his way out of university into the game maker era to climb the political latter…Grandma’am tried to make him court Livia Cardew…it was a whole shit show of drama lucy gray didn’t need to witness.

Tigris is doing well, having now better options then just being at the mercy of Fabricia. Making her own choices and designs now that she doesn’t only have to stick around for the money. She also does a lot with Lucy Gray throughout the day, designing her new outfits especially for her club shows and being the main reason Lucy Gray is feeling a bit welcomed.

Persephone put a kiddy leash on festus and his reckless dares while Lysistrata is perusing a career as doctor and sending ehr yearly condolences to the plinths. Clemensia is slowly getting better and overcoming her insecurities that appeared with the snake appearances on her body. Felix is alive and well! Thats it that the thread-

Highbottom lives longer now that lucy gray is with coriolanus, but he wont survive. He’s still a thread to him, being one of the people that could take his girl away from him with the snip of his finger

Dr. Gaul finds this all to amusing for everyones sake, also Lucy gray unvoluntarly gives her ideas of how to present victors to the capitol

Lucy gray literally just existing and trying to vibe as best as she can, Dr. Gaul be like “Mr. Snow I’ve got an idea”

The Capitol adores their new shining victor, everything around lucy gray is now to be found a spectacle and coryo makes that it stays that way. If they like her, adore her, admire her, they will accept her, maybe even forget where she came from or what she did in order to survive in the games. Like coriolanus is her one person pr team. Their image as star crossed lovers is a tragic dream love story that captures Everyone. Everything about lucy grays pr is being down to earth with the Capitol citizens, it makes her lovable and relatable something people wanna be involved in. Shes the capitols little songbird.

As one example he’s the reason she was able to perform in pluribus club and making it possible for her to sing again in front of an audience. He also beside Gauls original wishes tried to make Lucy Grays involvement in the upcoming games as minimal as possible, with success. Besides a few interviews with lucky and performing at the opening Lucy Gray does not need to go through more than necessary to please Dr. Gaul.

do you think coryo would refuse from interfering at first in order to “teach” xanthos a lesson, kind of like how sejanus’ dad did with marcus?

I can see xanthos getting frustrated when asking for help and both parents being hesitant when it is literally the same circumstance of how they met.

The storyline isn't fully fleshed out yet, so I apologize if any parts don't seem to make sense. However, I wanted to ensure that Xanthos gets some well-deserved attention too. He's much more than just the forgotten middle child, after all!

Xanthos is begging his dad to use his powers to rescue his girl, but Coriolanus is acting all tough, using her as a life lesson for his son. It's like Xanthos can't catch a break, just like late Sejanus. Coriolanus keeps shutting down his son's requests for help, no matter how many times he asks. On the flip side, Lucy Gray steps up, offering to mentor her for the interviews and guaranteeing sponsorships if her husband doesn't come through. Coriolanus argues that unlike Lucy Gray, who won her Games “fair and square” and then fell for him, it's a whole different story. Their love story had everyone hooked after the games, thinking it was something written in the stars. They argue for quite some time until Coriolanus warns Xanthos that if they try to get his girl out of the Games, the public might not react well, threatening him with riots in the districts and Capitol. At least, that's what he makes him believe.

It would add an intriguing twist if Coriolanus were to offer Xanthos the chance to persuade him about his aspirations concerning the "seam scum" by appointing him as her mentor in the weeks leading up to the Games. Under this arrangement, Xanthos would be her sole mentor, with the usual Capitol replacement Mentor being provided for the boy, given that Lucy Gray is no longer mentoring. It's a deal: Coriolanus will only assist his son emerges victorious as he once did.
