I love public transport. I enjoy being able to get around the city for free because Im a college student but even then the fare is cheap and reasonable because it’s a city subsidized program that is not there to make a profit.
But Capitol Metro, the “best” public transit system in the great state of Texas, doesn’t know how to use their tools to tell riders thats theres delays. I rely on the train to get to class. I know many other ACC Students who also rely on the train to get to class. I cannot drive due to disabilities and an uber to campus would be ~$40 which I don’t have to spend on a regular basis. I wish pubic transit was taken more seriously in red states so shit like this wouldn’t be a problem.
I fucking wish more people took the bus/light rail/subway because it’s more environmentally friendly but it also allows for folks like me to get places. It would also encourage transit companies to get their shit together.
Anyway Im supposed to be in class in 7 minutes and I am no where near campus and I still have to change into my uniform once I get there. Some times I hate public transport.
