Can you give an analysis of Broons skills as a defender?

Dude, I worship Becky Sauerbrunn on a daily and that is NO exaggeration

Becky has an incredible IQ for the game. She is very well aware of her space and her timing when it comes to tackles and defensive plays. She's not afraid to get physical when she has to, but she's very smart about how and when to cut off plays while preventing fouls. Her passing skills under pressure are also very good, unfortunately I don't have recent numbers for her but her dribble and passing accuracy is AMAZING.

As the centerpiece of a defense, she's really good at being aware of her teammates. Her main asset as a player is as a sweeper, she's usually the last player before the goalkeeper, and has developed an eye for giving instructions to the backline when necessary. Before she was captain of the team she's been the captain of the backline and that's undisputed. There's always a defender you defer to and that, without a doubt, is Broon for her teammates. If you get a chance to check the defense when they're trying to counter set pieces look out for Becky, bc she's usually giving instructions if need be. We used to call it the megaphone defender, who'd be screaming about the offside line and calling mark-less jerseys (aka players without a mark on them), and Broon is of course a little less scream and a lot more tactical but the principle is the same. She has an eye on her mark and an eye on the lone players from the opposite team, and that makes her great.

Overall she's an amazing defender and her skill and leadership experience is unparalleled.

AND IF I HAVENT MADE IT CLEAR YET, I LOVE THAT SHE GOT HER ARMBAND BACK, SHE DESERVES IT LIKE NO OTHER!
