I’ve been trying to push myself into drawing again and I’m thankful I was able to get this finished! Kitt’s hooves are so hard for me to figure out, but I must persist!!

My boy!!!! Kitt has been a little worm in my brain for the past two-ish years, and I’m so happy to be able to share him and STARLINES with y’all! ACK THE EXCITEMENT!!!!!

As the ref says, Kitt is a starship captain in the Guardsmen, a spacefaring force meant to protect and serve all the peoples of the Trigalactic Union. It doesn’t escape his notice that the Callisto has gradually become the home for all the misfits of the Guardsmen. Kitt considers it his duty and honor to provide guidance and support for those whom everyone else has given up on.

A community for collaborative character creation and trading, worldbuilding and roleplay.

How Lottie shows affection

1. Little gifts!! She’ll keep mental notes about things people mentioned wanting or needing and dump it off on them as nonchalantly as possible.

2. Quality time. Even though she’s embarrassed about it. You’ll know she likes you if she suddenly appears in your vicinity and doesn’t leave after two minutes. X’D

3. Romantically, she takes a LONG time to open up, but once she does, she’s actually quite doting. She’s way more of a lovergirl than she wants to admit to herself, with her passionate letters, gifting flowers and—gasp—even public displays of affection?

Speaking of PDA, I think it’s funny how, on one hand, she’s embarrassed to have people know she has feelings, but certain… events in her past cancel that out and make her want to be open with the public about her relationships. Prove to her that you’re proud to be on her arm.

A small, everyday detail about Kitt

Kitt eats with proboscises that sprout from his back! They secrete enzymes and break down whatever it is he’s eating into a tasty(?) slush.

I wanted that to be an abstraction of mycelium networks and how they process decaying matter! His favorite foods are fall leaves, tea leaves, herbs and spices!

An angsty lil thing. I wanna look into getting some scans of paper folds that I can overlay on my work so I can really sell that “dusty crusty old comic” look. Figuring out how to handle the values to get the effect I wanted was a challenge, but I learned in the process!
