Captain Mexico Alternate Universe Custom Funko
A Captain America repainted into Captain Mexico. His head has also been fixed into place so that he is no longer a bobblehead. With the golden eagle and snake on his chest (which I really hope doesn’t look like a chicken). There are aztec suns on his shoulders.
If you would like another country themed Cap message me.
Captain Australia Captain Austria Captain Botswana Captain Brazil Captain Canada Captain Greece Captain India Captain Ireland Captain Korea Captain Netherlands Captain New Zealand Captain Scotland Captain Wales
Captain Genovia Captain Queer
I will take commissions to replicate this funko, please contact privately to discuss price as the market for the figures in which I make these out of can change wildly. Ask me about my etsy shop.
Captain mexico vs Captain america
Well I decided to pick Captain Mexico because I felt there wasn't enough Mexican or Latino superheros in the comic book industry so I felt altering a Captain America Avengers suit would be the best way of doing it with Mexico colors and represent the culture. Also always had planned on bringing it to a Mexico soccer game next time they come out to the Bay Area.
As I was first starting to see how I was going to do it and see what props I would need to add to him that's when the whole Donald Trump issue against immigrants first started to happen. So I decided to add a Donald Trump pinata because I was against what he was saying. The way I brought the costume to life was by spray painting the Captain America suit and hand painting the shield. Also adding a machete and cowboy boots and mask at times.
The response at comic cons with that suit has been insane and mostly positive here in the Bay Area and LA. It is definitely my most popular costume I've ever put together. People get really excited to see me in it and laugh when they see the piniata if I decide on bringing it.
I'm so glad to be apart of the cosplay community. It's so much fun meeting new people and geeking out embracing the moment with other fellow cosplayers. Since I first started in 2009 I've met a lot of interesting people and joined the G.I.JOE cosplay group Cobra 1st. Legion and have had some of my most memorable moments and cosplay adventures with them at special locations for photoshoots. Also love doing MARVEL gatherings and joining up with them. Can't wait to see what the future holds.

#43 Captain Mexico
Captain Mexico, Captain America and Captain Canada at an Anti-Trump rally
Cap Canada needs no shield, but a giant maple leaf would be awesome!
Wondercon 2016 seems like such a long time ago at this point. Nearly a week and a half has passed since the second-largest comic/pop-culture convention in California made it’s debut at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and I’m still reeling from all the crazy shenanigans that took place at the event. Though the penultimate greater Los Angeles area comic convention had it’s detractors and rabble-rousers, one element that still came through strong was the quality of cosplayers. As evidenced by our previous gallery post, this year’s Wondercon featured some rather awesome cosplays.
Since I was busy filming some cool features and interviews in other areas of the con, I didn’t have a ton of time to scour the entire landscape of the halls this year. So I set out with my little camera on Sunday, March 27th (the last day of the con–and Easter!) and started snapping us some pics. What I found in my limited time was, in my opinion, some epic cosplays. Take a look below at my picks for the best of Sunday’s offerings, and be sure to give us some feedback on what your favorites were at this year’s Wondercon!
