When you beat Traces of Gro'Goroth, he has crows on him, and talks about a shape that humans cannot conceptualize
If you kill the Crow Mauler (idk if the normal one does this,.I've only killed the two headed one in the gauntlet), Captain Rudimer's Diary #3 drops where he talks about going insane from crows and an incomprehensible shape.
Captain Rudimer probably stumbled into the Gauntlet accidentally, or was enticed there by Miasma, and saw Gro'Goroth, or his turning was pre mediated by Gro'Goroth in some way

I think I know why Nosramus ended up on the lower floors near Le'garde's cell. Remember the Crow Mauler looking out of the wall? What if his nest is there?
Moreover, Rudimer considered the lower floors safer, so he sent Le'garde there. When he became Crow Mauler, I think he was looking for safer places to nest.
