Captain Swan Theme Endeavoring to chronicle when it is used(I may have missed times.) Season Two Tallahassee: when Emma notices Hook’s Milah tattoo. Into The Deep: when Hook sets Aurora free and gives her a message for Emma. Season Three Good Form: when Hook is tricking David into going for the cure and then again at the first kiss of Emma and Hook. Dark Hollow: when Hook is telling Emma that when I win your heart it will be because you want me. Going Home: when Tink tells Hook she knows why he risked his life…for Emma The Tower: when Hook tells Emma he is glad she got her heart broken because it means it still works. The Jolly Roger: when Zelena as Ariel tells Hook he is more than a pirate his heart is true and when he swears on Emma Swan..sidebar I was depressed for at least three days after this episode Season Four Rocky Road: when Emma tells Killian I can’t lose you too and he tells her she doesn’t have to worry because he’s a survivor. The Apprentice: when they finish their first date and start talking about their second. Smash The Mirror Part One: when Killian is leaving the voicemail warning Emma about the hat….And confessing how he wanted to be a better man but failed and hoping she never forgives him because that means she will have got the message. Heroes And Villains: when Emma puts back Killian’s heart. Darkness On The Edge Of Town: when Killian is feeling remorse and not like a hero about putting the fairies in the hat and Emma tells him he has a mark in the hero column. Unforgiven: when Emma is questioning Killian about his past with Ursula and knows he’s holding something back. Poor Unfortunate Soul: when Killian is worried about losing his happy ending and Emma asks him what it is “Don’t you know Emma? It’s you.” (Only a little bit of their theme but such an adorable moment I had to note it) Mother: when Killian is showing Emma the horizon…says he hopes it is his job to protect her heart and talks about her parents.(I think it is more when he starts talking about her parents) Operation Mongoose Part Two: when Emma is teaching deckhand Hook/Killian how to sword fight(Le sigh)…also when she finds out Killian is alive and almost tells him she loves him….their theme starts to play then cuts off. Season Five Dreamcatcher: when Killian takes Emma on a horse ride and to the flower meadow.(kind of a variation on their theme but it seems to have some strong aspects of it) Nimue: when Killian gives Emma his ring and says he love her. Le sigh Birth: When Henry was telling Emma about Operation Light Swan there was a little bit of it. When Killian tells Emma about Liam’s ring and “ I love Emma Swan no matter what you’ve done.”(seems to almost exactly match the version of their theme from Dark Hollow.) When Killian looks through the Spyglass in the house he picked for him and Emma it has some variations and then ends when they kiss in the same scene. When Emma saves everyone from Arthur and Zelena and runs to Killian it is a variation on their theme I believe. When Emma tell Killian she’s afraid because she does want a future with him. When Emma takes Killian to the Middlemist field to save Him it starts after he says “Emma” and she says “Killian” it is a variation with purpose(if you ask me) It seems to switch between Killian having this sad version of their theme(fear of what he would become trying to get Emma to let him go) and Emma having these brighter notes(hoping to save him trusting they can fight it together) “I don’t want to pay this price I don’t I don’t want to become that” “you won’t you can fight the darkness I can help you we can do it together” is a clear example of my theory. :) Swan Song: when Killian’s is asking Emma to destroy the darkness their theme starts when she grabs Excalibur over Killian’s hand. To take Excalibur yes but if you ask me it is also a final hand hold and support because he is struggling to hold it. Also a few notes of it are used when they are wheeling Killian away and Emma is sobbing…..:(:(:(:(:(:( Devil’s Due: when Emma rescue Killian she goes to touch his face and says “Killian” that is when it starts. I believe it is very close to the version of their theme when she stabs him. Which I think is a beautifully healing thing to do. The Brothers Jones: when Emma heals Killian. When Killian is telling Emma that Liam moved on. Both of these are kind of a variation. :) List will continue to be updated. This is times when I hear the whole theme or almost all of it..at least that was the original plan. But they change the arrangement a lot so it turned into when it has a few key parts of their theme. :)

I love this SO MUCH! Beautiful piano arrangement of Hook and Emma’s theme. And Anna - the piano player has many other OUAT piano covers as well.

Captain Swan Theme. Birth.

I keep a somewhat shoddy list of when Captain Swan’s Theme is used…..because I love music….their theme in general and obsessing about how and when it is used(etc). And here is what I came up with after figuring out the many times it was used in Birth.

When Emma takes Killian to the Middlemist field to save Him their theme starts after he says “Emma” and she says “Killian” it is a variation on their theme though but I think it has a purpose. It seems to switch between Killian having this sad version of their theme(fear of what he would become, trying to get Emma to let him go) and Emma having these brighter notes(hoping to save him, trusting they can fight it together) “I don’t want to pay this price. I don’t…I don’t want to become that” “You won’t. You can fight the darkness. I can help you....we can do it together” is a clear example of my theory. :)
