Decided to revamp the MLP AU for Journey of the Flying Serpent (because autism) and I based it off of my versions of the ponies. The story is still basically the same as this post, just now Stoic Heart (aka Brosmýr) is a yak that works as a royal guard before becoming Eloquent's (Taiba's) personal guard when she goes on her journey.

And Victerico is now one of those cat people called Captain Brine Pawther, because I guess those are a thing now in MLP. I'll try not to be too retarded about this, and will go back to our regularly scheduled JotFS posting after I get this pony versions out of my head.

Art Style/AU Challenge PT 4: My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic's Art Style

I so, so should have made Brosmýr into a yak, but I didn't think about it until I finished this piece, and ngl, this art style was tedious as hell. But I might come back this particular AU at a later date.

Main Story

Princess Eloquent Mint (Priestess Taiba) was once a normal unicorn, studying under the watchful gaze of Princess Twilight. Until, as fate would have it, she became one of the best ambassadors Equestria had ever seen; some would say, even better than Princess Twilight herself. After proving herself to be an amazing negotiator, stopping a frightening number of wars in the process, she ascended to princesshood. Leading Eloquent Mint to not only be the face of Equestrian friendship, but also the Princess of Communication (very corny, I know, but this a My Little Pony story).

As a young Princess, she sets off on a journey to explore her world, and extend the hand or friendship to anyone in need. Joining her on her quest, the large stallion pegasus, Stoic Heart (Brosmýr the Raven). A Royal guard turned Eloquent's personal guard at the behest of Princess Twilight. And the mighty Captain Ocean Chaser (Captain Victerico) as their guild into uncharted territories.

Sea monsters, and unknown creatures abound in this chapter of My Little Pony.

Art Style/AU Challenge PT 3: Disney's Style

This was a lot easier than MHA's art style, but you can still probably tell that it's not official art (outside of the fact that the characters aren't canon to Disney). This did, however, get me thinking on how a Journey of the Flying Serpent musical would work. and honestly that sounds like a very fun project

Main Plot

I could imagine the plot of this AU would be very similar to the original Journey of the Flying Serpent. Just with a lot less sexual tension and gore. The main difference would be that it's a musical, it would only span a single 90 minute movie (or maybe 112 minutes if I'm lucky), and Taiba and Brosmýr would have more of an rivals to lovers arch (it's already kinda there in the OG text, but I would up the anti in a Disney version of this story). So, here are the songs I could imagine being a part of said movie:

Intro/I want song: This is Taiba's song that she sings while living in Morocco, waiting for the day she can leave and start her adventure

Victerico's intro: The captain's gotta have a main theme

"Loathing": While training Taiba and Brosmýr talk about how much they hate each other, oh hey, why are they blushing?

Brosmýr's Memories: First time we get to hear our main male lead sing by himself, and it's about him reminiscing about home

Secrets revealed: Spoilers but it turns into a love song

A final battle song that happens right before the climax

And the ending credits song, reminiscent of "When You Believe" from Prince of Egypt

That might be too many for a Disney movie, but I don't care, this is my AU and I'll do what I want.
