Hanna the Courier [BotW and TotK] Re-Re-Redesign 2026
As the very first character I ever created (technically. It's a long story), she has always had a special place in my heart. So I thought, what better way of showing how I've grown as both an artist and a writer than to figure out how I'd try to put her in both these games while keeping her as canon compliant as possible.
TLDR: BotW Hanna is Link's Courier. She tasks him to find her people that would want to work for her newly formed postal service, while also being the one to send mail to him. Later, after Link defeats Vah Rudania, she asks him to mail a fake letter to her childhood friend Yunobo, leading to a quest-line where you try to get both of them to fall in love similar to the Terry Town quest.
TotK Hanna is now married to Yunobo, leaving her postal job to the people who run the newspaper. She becomes possessed by a similar magical mask as her husband, leading both of them to be quite the hot headed duo. After Link saves Yunobo, he saves his wife, and the two of them apologies profusely for what they were like. After the Fire Temple, she becomes a bit of a gossip, giving Link little hints on how to find certain items in the world.

after killing the bokoblins, she'll reward you with 20 rupees as thanks, and then ask if you're an adventurer.
If you answer "Yep! That's me!" she'll respond with excitement at finding one, and ask you to do her a favor.
"If you can find me 15 different people to become couriers for each region of Hyrule, I'll give you 100 rupees [give or take if this breaks the money in the game] for each person you find."
"Anyone that says they're looking for a job, tell them that Hanna sent you, and to send them to me in Kakriko Village"
You'll find most of them in towns and stables, so be sure to talk to everyone you meet"

She asks you to send something to Yunobo, as they were friends when they were young, and wished to reconnect, and since she can send it under the guise of it being work, she'll have no guilt in sending it.
After sending Yunobo literally anthing [like seriously, anything], Hanna will jump for joy, and immediately fly towards Goron City, leaving you in the dust. If you decide to follow her to Goron City, you will be greeted with a small cutscene of the two of them reuniting.
Hanna will nervously stand behind a very unaware Yunobo, before clearing her throat, startling the poor goron. Yunobo will be surprised that a Rito made it to the city, while Hanna will just laugh and say "Do you not recognize me, Yun-Yun?" That nickname from their childhood leading to his sudden realization, excitement, and rushes in for a hug.
They begin to reminisce on all the mischief they did together. Small little things here and there, and it will end on Hanna mentioning she's going to set up camp at the base of the mountain. Mentioning that, while she adores her work, she misses her old friend more, but will still come to you if ever you have mail.
Hanna will now be permanently at the foot of Death Mountain.
After the reunion, you can find her at her little make-shift shop, and she will lament to you about how this trip was a little more than just old friends catching up. She admits that she has had a crush on Yunobo since they were little, and that crush has not gone away over time. However, she knows that he probably doesn't, or can't feel the same way she does, but you tell her that you can help.
Hanna is ecstatic, but asks how you're supposed to help in this situation. You reply that you'll just simply ask Yunobo how he feels, and with no better option, Hanna agrees.
You go back you Yunobo and do exactly that, leading to a very funny scene of him just straight up admitting that he also has a thing for Hanna, but begs you not to tell her. However, he asks you to find and send her gifts as his courier [now the turns table]. He will ask for things like flowers and food to be sent to Hanna as a "Secret Admirer" in hopes that he can learn what she likes. In turn, after a couple of times of you sending her random gifts [she will have something to say for most of it] you will find her back in Goron City to talk to Yunobo about how she thinks you have a crush on her. After telling you she doesn't see you that way, and flying back to her home, Yunobo will lament that that didn't work at all.
If you've been to Lover's Pond before this part of the quest, you have the option of telling Yunobo to go there to confess his feelings to Hanna with her favorite flower, Blue Nightshade.
If not, he will confess them in Goron City.
Lover's Pond: At Lover's Pond, the confession will go surprisingly smoothly. Yunobo will stumble over his words and say things a bit wrong [he is a goron after all], but it works, and Hanna is over the moon!
Goron City: At Goron City, things go a little less smoothly. Mostly because as soon as he shows off the flower, it bursts into flames, with Yunobo's face turned wide-eyed and horrified. He'll apologies profusely for the burning flower, leading to Hanna giggling till the cows come home. Yunobo still stumbles over telling Hanna how he feels, and it still works, a few more giggles while she goes over the moon.
She'll then ask "Wait. I though goron's couldn't have romantic feelings, how did this happen?"
With Yunobo responding "I mean... I don't think I've ever been a normal goron... goro...". Ending with them laughing and ending up as a couple.
Yunobo will then spend a lot of his time on the bottom of the mountain with Hanna.
Tears of the Kingdom
Hanna has less of a role this time around, as she's happily married to her childhood friend living in Goron City. She now works as a gossip writer for the Lucky Clover Gazette, and put the postal service in good hands [unsure who that might be at the moment, but I'm insane enough to make it her hypothetical hybrid goron/rito kid].
Quest: Yunobo of Goron City
After being visited by Puppet Zelda, both Yunobo and Hanna are given strange masks. His a luchador mask, and hers a masquerade. Both have become quite volatile, Hanna even leaning into the whole mean girl trope.
After you save Yunobo and destroy his mask, he immediately goes to his wife to rip it off her face. The girl has never been a fighter, and even as this is Yunobo, he's still way stronger than her. The mask is destroyed, Hanna turns back to her normal self, and Yunobo debates on leaving her alone to go help you find Zelda.
Hanna gives him a smile, and tells him that he'd be a bad president if he didn't protect his people, that she'd be fine, and that she'll hold down the fort while he's away. Leading to a nod and a genuine smile from him. Leaving Hanna to take care of the little ones with Bludo.
The quest continues as normal from there.
Misc.
While I haven't thought of a sidequest for Hanna yet, you can go to her to find random objects and quests in the world that she calls gossip. She'll give you hints on where some things might be, being very cheeky and sly about it.
She'll even make a joke about all the times you scared her while on the Sheikah Towers, and hey, what happened to you're Sheikah Slate, by the by?
Holy crap, that took so long to write, and this is the condensed version. I plan on drawing Yunobo in my headcanoned versions of the goron's with a slight overhaul of his character, so stay tuned for that, but at any rate, I hope this read was fun. I am.... not going back to fix any mistakes lol

After you save Yunobo and destroy his mask, he immediately goes to his wife to rip it off her face. The girl has never been a fighter, and even as this is Yunobo, he's still way stronger than her. The mask is destroyed, Hanna turns back to her normal self, and Yunobo debates on leaving her alone to go help you find Zelda.
Hanna gives him a smile, and tells him that he'd be a bad president if he didn't protect his people, that she'd be fine, and that she'll hold down the fort while he's away. Leading to a nod and a genuine smile from him. Leaving Hanna to take care of the little ones with Bludo.
The quest continues as normal from there.

Later, after Link defeats Vah Rudania, she asks him to mail a fake letter to her childhood friend Yunobo, leading to a quest-line where you try to get both of them to fall in love similar to the Terry Town quest.

After sending Yunobo literally anthing [like seriously, anything], Hanna will jump for joy, and immediately fly towards Goron City, leaving you in the dust. If you decide to follow her to Goron City, you will be greeted with a small cutscene of the two of them reuniting.
Hanna will nervously stand behind a very unaware Yunobo, before clearing her throat, startling the poor goron. Yunobo will be surprised that a Rito made it to the city, while Hanna will just laugh and say "Do you not recognize me, Yun-Yun?" That nickname from their childhood leading to his sudden realization, excitement, and rushes in for a hug.
They begin to reminisce on all the mischief they did together. Small little things here and there, and it will end on Hanna mentioning she's going to set up camp at the base of the mountain. Mentioning that, while she adores her work, she misses her old friend more, but will still come to you if ever you have mail.
Hanna will now be permanently at the foot of Death Mountain.
After the reunion, you can find her at her little make-shift shop, and she will lament to you about how this trip was a little more than just old friends catching up. She admits that she has had a crush on Yunobo since they were little, and that crush has not gone away over time. However, she knows that he probably doesn't, or can't feel the same way she does, but you tell her that you can help.
Hanna is ecstatic, but asks how you're supposed to help in this situation. You reply that you'll just simply ask Yunobo how he feels, and with no better option, Hanna agrees.
You go back you Yunobo and do exactly that, leading to a very funny scene of him just straight up admitting that he also has a thing for Hanna, but begs you not to tell her. However, he asks you to find and send her gifts as his courier [now the turns table]. He will ask for things like flowers and food to be sent to Hanna as a "Secret Admirer" in hopes that he can learn what she likes. In turn, after a couple of times of you sending her random gifts [she will have something to say for most of it] you will find her back in Goron City to talk to Yunobo about how she thinks you have a crush on her. After telling you she doesn't see you that way, and flying back to her home, Yunobo will lament that that didn't work at all.
If you've been to Lover's Pond before this part of the quest, you have the option of telling Yunobo to go there to confess his feelings to Hanna with her favorite flower, Blue Nightshade.
If not, he will confess them in Goron City.
Lover's Pond: At Lover's Pond, the confession will go surprisingly smoothly. Yunobo will stumble over his words and say things a bit wrong [he is a goron after all], but it works, and Hanna is over the moon!
Goron City: At Goron City, things go a little less smoothly. Mostly because as soon as he shows off the flower, it bursts into flames, with Yunobo's face turned wide-eyed and horrified. He'll apologies profusely for the burning flower, leading to Hanna giggling till the cows come home. Yunobo still stumbles over telling Hanna how he feels, and it still works, a few more giggles while she goes over the moon.
She'll then ask "Wait. I though goron's couldn't have romantic feelings, how did this happen?"
With Yunobo responding "I mean... I don't think I've ever been a normal goron... goro...". Ending with them laughing and ending up as a couple.
Yunobo will then spend a lot of his time on the bottom of the mountain with Hanna.
Tears of the Kingdom
Hanna has less of a role this time around, as she's happily married to her childhood friend living in Goron City. She now works as a gossip writer for the Lucky Clover Gazette, and put the postal service in good hands [unsure who that might be at the moment, but I'm insane enough to make it her hypothetical hybrid goron/rito kid].

After being visited by Puppet Zelda, both Yunobo and Hanna are given strange masks. His a luchador mask, and hers a masquerade. Both have become quite volatile, Hanna even leaning into the whole mean girl trope.
After you save Yunobo and destroy his mask, he immediately goes to his wife to rip it off her face. The girl has never been a fighter, and even as this is Yunobo, he's still way stronger than her. The mask is destroyed, Hanna turns back to her normal self, and Yunobo debates on leaving her alone to go help you find Zelda.
Hanna gives him a smile, and tells him that he'd be a bad president if he didn't protect his people, that she'd be fine, and that she'll hold down the fort while he's away. Leading to a nod and a genuine smile from him. Leaving Hanna to take care of the little ones with Bludo.
The quest continues as normal from there.

While I haven't thought of a sidequest for Hanna yet, you can go to her to find random objects and quests in the world that she calls gossip. She'll give you hints on where some things might be, being very cheeky and sly about it.
She'll even make a joke about all the times you scared her while on the Sheikah Towers, and hey, what happened to you're Sheikah Slate, by the by?
Holy crap, that took so long to write, and this is the condensed version. I plan on drawing Yunobo in my headcanoned versions of the goron's with a slight overhaul of his character, so stay tuned for that, but at any rate, I hope this read was fun. I am.... not going back to fix any mistakes lol
This character had such good potential that could have made him one of the most interesting next gen Champions. Instead we got a bumbling goof that was nothing like his grandfather, and not in a good way.

Hanna the Courier [BotW and TotK] Re-Re-Redesign 2026
As the very first character I ever created (technically. It's a long story), she has always had a special place in my heart. So I thought, what better way of showing how I've grown as both an artist and a writer than to figure out how I'd try to put her in both these games while keeping her as canon compliant as possible.
TLDR: BotW Hanna is Link's Courier. She tasks him to find her people that would want to work for her newly formed postal service, while also being the one to send mail to him. Later, after Link defeats Vah Rudania, she asks him to mail a fake letter to her childhood friend Yunobo, leading to a quest-line where you try to get both of them to fall in love similar to the Terry Town quest.
TotK Hanna is now married to Yunobo, leaving her postal job to the people who run the newspaper. She becomes possessed by a similar magical mask as her husband, leading both of them to be quite the hot headed duo. After Link saves Yunobo, he saves his wife, and the two of them apologies profusely for what they were like. After the Fire Temple, she becomes a bit of a gossip, giving Link little hints on how to find certain items in the world.

Hanna is a bubbly, happy-go-lucky, if not kind of spacey Rito woman. She desperately wants to reunite Hyrule by way of communication, but she can't do that alone. And that's where you come in.
Breath of the Wild
Introduction
You meet Hanna one of two ways: On the road from the Great Plateau to Kakriko Village or Paya asking you to go find her.
On the road: Hanna will be in the middle of being attacked by two red bokoblins. She's not a fighter, but she tries to fend them off with a stick she found, screaming that she has mail to deliver.
after killing the bokoblins, she'll reward you with 20 rupees as thanks, and then ask if you're an adventurer.
If you answer "Yep! That's me!" she'll respond with excitement at finding one, and ask you to do her a favor.
"If you can find me 15 different people to become couriers for each region of Hyrule, I'll give you 100 rupees [give or take if this breaks the money in the game] for each person you find."
"Anyone that says they're looking for a job, tell them that Hanna sent you, and to send them to me in Kakriko Village"
You'll find most of them in towns and stables, so be sure to talk to everyone you meet"
If you respond with "I was just passing through" Hanna will be disappointed, and fly back to her post office.
If you find her later at her post office, she'll call you the "Not-Adventurer" and ask you if you need anything. Saying "Nothing" will result in her grumbley replying "Of course", and continuing her work.
Replying "Sorry, I lied" will get her to say "Well that was rude, but if you're willing to help, I have a job offer for you" and she will say the same thing she said on the road.
Asked by Paya: If you fail to meet Hanna before setting foot in Kakriko, Paya will ask you to go find her friend. There will be a quest marker on your map to find her and the same lines happen as finding her on the road.
After this, Hanna will be your personal courier. Any time you talk to an NPC or finish a quest there is a chance that they will send you a letter or delivery. Letters will contain lore about the character, and deliveries will contain things like ingredients, food, weapons, and rupees.
Hanna will only appear once you've entered in a town, stable, or fast traveled to a Sheikah Tower [leading her to get jumpscared the first couple of times asking where you came from]. She'll have some little quips here and there about the person who sent the mail, if she knows them, and will give you some lore about herself on occasion when giving you your mail.
You will not be able to send anything through her as a gameplay mechanic.
Quest 1: Going Postal
Find one person from each region of Hyrule to become a courier, and send them to Hanna.
Reward for each person: 100 Rupees each
Reward for finishing quest: The Postman's Hat [30% running speed and 30% stamina boost when on trails or roads. 10% running speed and 10% stamina boost when off trail or road] {may be hella broken}
Quest 2: Old Flame
How to start: Finish Divine Beast Vah Rudania
