problem with having a job requiring slightly more specialist skills is that when someone tells me to do something and my response is "that's somebody else's job", what that means is i Actually Do Not Know How To Do This. and yet people think i should be able to. but that is Not My Job Mate. you are telling a camera operator to do network shit. what answer were you expecting. what do you want from me.

im helping this startup type company with setting up a studio for livestreams and they. do not see me as the kind of expert they see my coworker as. Absolutely wild to listen to them ooh-ing and aah-ing about his (fully real! really impressive!) skills anr credentials and then turn to me, with very similar credentials and just as real skills, and not let me finish a god damn sentence. and take the camera out of my hands. hilarious.
